As a result, I took my old K2 skates out of storage after years of storing them. A ratcheting buckle on one of the skates broke after we skated a little on the street and took them off. There were several weak points in it, which caused it to break These fit perfectly and I ordered them online. It was not difficult to drill out the old rivets once they were removed, and they installed quite easily after that. I am looking forward to using them for some more time. In comparison with the cost of purchasing a new pair of skates, this kit is quite a bargain!.
I'm disappointed with it. As you can see from the pictures, the paint job on the item I received was awful. It's not too bad, but the bigger problem is that the axle part of the mechanism was designed backwards, so stress is being put on the skate the wrong way. The ratcheting part will eventually come out of the skate due to this.
A long strap clips into a short clamp, and the long strap snaps into the clamp. There is an issue with the parts, although they seem to be of good quality This short clamp seems to be designed backwards, with the screw hole on the wrong side. Leverage may pull the screw out of the boot leather if the screw is designed backwards. A short clamp is also different than shown in the picture. Despite the fact that it is visible for this listing, the screw is actually on the wrong side, which is very good. Apparently, I did not receive the right components! * NOTE *UPDATE However, I installed these anyway, and they seem to be quite From one star to five stars, I'm changing my score. isn't exactly how it's pictured, but it works perfectly and is fine! I connected it using the metal grommets that came with the shoes. There is no need to drill holes in the shoes.
The strap was broken on my rollerblades so I bought this to fix it. I chose not to use a new clasp, as there is a design flaw in the closure, since the screw is positioned on the near end instead of the distal end. Instead, I replaced the clasp with the strap from the previous buckle. Since the strap was even wider than our previous ones, I had to remove *2 mm of the width but it worked. In this case, considering the price of this, it was a good buy for us, if you are already aware of the issues.
I was very pleased with how it worked. There were two older Rollerblade inline skates with broken straps in my possession. I was delighted to find these replacement straps to fit so well. I was able to use the replacement straps on the rollerblades since the locking mechanism on the skates Once that was done, I drilled out the old rivits and replaced them with new ones. Having the rollerblades work like new is a huge relief.
Installs in a few minutes. With a little more than ten minutes of work, we were back up and running again. My son's bladerunner performa's were a tight fit, so you would need to trim them a little. These fit her Nike skates and my Corr aggressive inline skates, but they were too tight for his bladerunner skates. As I wait for my other pair of skates to arrive, I hope they will be just as good.
Attaching them is easy, but the buckles don't clamp tightly enough and the straps easily come unfastened if there is even the slightest movement, which defeats their purpose. A total waste of time.
The product was great! I was able to reuse the bracket, but had to replace the clip with a strap since the clip had separated from the bracket. The video tutorial I found on YouTube from which I was able to do the replacement made the process simple. For removing the old pressure clip, I would not have been able to proceed without a drill. I also found it easier to install the device by myself with two people.
