Selected User Reviews For K2 Skate F.I.T. 80 Alu Inline Skate
I am a big man (5' 8" 340 pounds), and I am getting back into inline skating for low impact exercise. After seeing some good reviews, I decided to buy these skates. It looks and feels like the skates are made of good quality parts and are made to last. They fit pretty well and felt comfortable and reliable. When I tried these on inside my kitchen to see if they work, I rapidly discovered that a soft boot with ankle support was insufficient for me, I was unable to stay upright and was obtaining far too much lateral ankle roll, making it impossible to push off or All i could do was get them as tight as I could. It seems that the inline frame has been moved over a little closer to the arch side of my foot, which may also It is a good skate, but it is not the skate I like. I will return these and replace them with a hard shell boot in the hope that it will correct the issues I had with them. Let's hope someone else will not have to deal with what I struggled with.
This is the size 8 that I ordered. I agree with 5 and I feel comfortable with it. The size I normally wear is I wear a size 5 shoe but since I last rollerbladed I was an 8 shoe. Thankfully, I ordered the same size as I did in the original size 5 (for some reason I don't remember). Worried about having my feet too tense, I put it on too tight. The boots are pretty comfortable on my feet and I can feel that my toes are right up against the front of the shoe. This shoe has been worn around my neighborhood area for a couple of weeks, and it remains comfortable enough to write that My only wish would be that they had other colors to choose from. I had expected the wheels to turn more smoothly, but they don't seem This is what makes me give this rating a four out of five. However, I am happy with this product overall.
Amazon has been notified about this return. Since I began skating on K2 Velocity 4 over 16 years ago (changed 2 pairs, repaired each of them, changed buckles, buttons, etc. ), I have gone through two pairs of them. For me, it is the best skate for skating on a rink because it is light and thin, and because it provides absolute control. The purchase was the most successful one in my life. I was looking at the modern K2 product line and stopped on the FIT80 considering how similar it looked. However, when I recieved it, it left me feeling totally frustrated. In this case, the padding is thick enough that the user is incapable of even exercising This ridiculous "speed lacing system" appears to have few benefits, for example, in order to save 30 seconds on lacing your skates, you give up just about everything about skating (it is not likely that it will These skates have a really ugly look to them (you can't see that on the It appears that they are in need of repair The Velocity boots cost less and were better than these dirt boots. It's a shame that K2 decided to manufacture such a thing when Velocity was available at cheaper and better prices. I have no idea what else they can offer.
It is a double shame. To ensure I don't have to settle for an aluminum frame, I'm headed to Kinetic 80 which has a plastic frame.
The comfort level is excellent. I've already walked six miles wearing them today, so I've got to keep breaking them in.
I have relatively wide feet (4E), and these were true to size. These shoes fit like a glove, even when worn with cushioned sports socks.
Finding my way back into skating after 20 years, and I couldn't be happier.
It has laced straps and laces which I absolutely adore. The ride was smooth and the boots were awesome. The materials used for this project are excellent. The only problem is that it's quite heavy.
This is one of the things my son loves!.
