Questions & Answers
These aren't transparent in any way. If they could, my grandchildren would put them on every day. They're high-quality and low-maintenance, which is a blessing!
The issue is that, like all other fishing-related shorts, they are only available in even sizes. The Aftco shorts have an elastic waist band, so if you're a 33" waist (I'm more or less a 34"), they'll still fit you. I was a size 38 a year ago, and I could still wear them, but the legs were too big. If you're in between sizes, the elastic is stretchy enough to allow you to go down a size. I'm approaching a 32" waist now, but the 34 works well for me. I hope this information is useful; these are fantastic shorts.
I've bought three pairs in the last two years, two black and one blue, with a 6 inch inseam on each pair.
They are of excellent quality and do not degrade over time.

These shorts were a lot of fun to wear. Because AFTCO is hard to come by where I live, I had to order them online, and I was modeling the shorts for my wife when she pointed out that my penis was protruding beyond the bottom of the shorts. Initially, I was flattered because I don't have particularly large genitalia. I do believe, however, that I will need to purchase a new pair of shorts for Memorial Day Weekend.
They're tough, but they're not heavy. The cordura-lined pocket is ideal for holding my pocket knife without risking wearing down the pocket's corner. The width of the legs is too much for me, so I deducted a star. Despite the fact that my thighs aren't particularly large, they still appear to be parachuted. I was able to solve this problem by modifying them. If you prefer a slightly more tailored look, these shorts are still worth it even if you pay a little more to have them altered.
I had hoped for something like this. After a big meal, I need durable and lightweight shorts that stretch as much as my stomach needs. Camping, fishing, and just about anything else come to mind. They annoy my wife. I wear them a lot because I'm a big fan of them. Maybe if she buys me a new pair of shorts, she won't have to worry about my neighbors noticing that I'm wearing the same pair every day.
V 2. For a trip, I needed some new shorts. br>These are extremely comfortable and well-fitting. br>Because the leg holes are a little big, make sure you're wearing boxers. Unless you enjoy a slight breeze, of course. br>br>While the color is attractive, your underwear is visible. As a result, make sure you're dressed in your baby shark briefs.
These are excellent shorts that dry quickly, have plenty of pockets, and do not easily rip or tear. I wear a nylon belt to help with the pull of the waves. I'll admit, they're on the short side; not too short, but if you're not careful, you might get a peep show when sitting in a beach chair.
These were requested by my grandson, so I gladly obliged. They're pricey, but well worth the money. He is smitten with them. He has long legs, but they are on the "short" side. I believe there is a longer version, so if you are tall and don't want your shorts to be "short," those are the ones to go for.
There's no way to go wrong with Aftcos. I buy 2- My now 14-year-old son gets three pairs of shorts every year, and they are the only ones he wears - throughout the year Yes, the price for shorts is outrageous, but we get far more value for our money. They've stood up to a lot of abuse (fishing, swimming, etc. ) and are still in excellent condition to pass down to little brother.
Expensive; I like them/the material enough, but at $50+, I expected overall perfection. Although it appears to be of good quality, I had to trim away a lot of fraying threads that were coming loose from the non-essential extra material on the inside of the belt loops after the first/only wash (air dry). On the inside of the waist band, I had to trim some threads as well. I'm hoping this isn't a recurring issue that results in unraveling and a waste of money after each wash. Despite the elastic waist band, they are a little tight around the waist. I'm anywhere between 185 and 190 pounds depending on the week. I'm 5'11' and weigh 190 pounds with a waist measurement of 35/36.
