For my son, I chose a light cargo short. These aren't too bulky and give a twelve-year-old plenty of room to move. He can still avoid wearing pants because he's dressed nicely for church. ) Ideal for the kid who wants to dress up a little more than basketball shorts while still remaining comfortable.
These shorts fit true to size and have a nice appearance. They don't have as much chunky/heavy material as I had hoped for; They're a little on the thin side, but they're sturdy. My sons are 12 (taller, in shape, and wears a size 10/12) and 10 (taller, in shape, and wears a size 8/10). If they're a little loose to begin with, you can roll them down once at the waist.
They are medium, not 12 size, and don't even look the same when ordered in different colors. When I attempted to re-enter the information, I was unable to do so. They sent a different brand in a medium size rather than a size 12 after I ordered two colors. They aren't the same shorts and are significantly smaller. br>I'll have my son try them on, but I'm not sure they'll fit him. They don't appear to be the same as the ones I purchased. br>I may return both if they are too small and short; I was under the impression that I was receiving the same shorts in a different color. It's not a good idea to mix and match colors with different shorts.
Because jeans are too rough for my son, he dislikes them. He doesn't like these because they're too much like jeans, but perhaps your son does.
I ordered two of these in the same size, opened one for my son to try on and they fit perfectly, so I didn't open the other one until right before he was supposed to wear them, and they are significantly smaller than the other pair, despite the fact that the tag says they are both 14-inch. I've gone past the point where I can no longer return. I intend to contact the customer service department.
The shorts are adorable and light. I bought them as a present for my grandsons this summer.
Son likes them, except for the fake pocket in the back, which he dislikes; however, he likes them overall.
The size on the tag was 10/12, but it fit much smaller. I would recommend going up a size. I gave them back to you.
