They're made to accommodate QR codes. The thru axle end caps are sold separately and are not included with the thru axle.

Is it compatible with the SRAM GX 12S cassette?

Only SHIMANO HG cassette is available right now. You'll need to get a new XD cassette to make it work. B08GFMVYXD is the ASIN for the XD cassette. Thanks.

Is it okay if I use these for one of the ten speeds? Is it normal that you don't have a passing eje? Do you have a sunrace cassette?

Yes, it supports 10s; the qr version is an HG freehub with 9x100mm front and 10x135mm rear. Thanks.
