It's unlikely that the metal plug will come loose, but if it does, it'll likely get mixed in with your sealant and go undetected. You'd have to have small tires to worry about the rim tape being punctured, but they do make blunt tips, though they're a little more difficult to insert.

It was well worth the money. You'll need one of these if you ride tubeless (on a road or mountain bike). If your tire develops a tear or hole that the sealant cannot fill, simply force a rubber plug through the hole and voila! As a result, the leak is no longer a problem. The plugs are made of a sticky rubber that chemically bonds to the tire rubber, resulting in a long-lasting repair. In one case, I repaired a nearly new tire that had been cut, and the tire is still holding air after 3000 miles. It's truly incredible. br>br>I ride 20,000 kilometers per year in all types of weather and have been tubeless-only for over three years. I only recommend this tubeless repair kit.
Do not hesitate to purchase one. I ride on the road, and prior to using Dynaplug, I had tried Genuine Innovations, whose plugs failed to do what they were supposed to (especially for punctures), leading me to believe I wasn't doing things correctly. Then there was Lezyne's kit, which I tried. The plug tool, by the way, is massive! Huge! Nonetheless, I decided to give it a shot. It's also not designed for road bike tires, in my opinion. It's way too big to fit in the hole, so I had to take another Uber home. I was becoming frustrated until I discovered Dynaplug, and I regret not trying cheaper systems first; it would have saved me time, patience, and money! So set aside some money and purchase one of these. It's so simple to use and so effective that I'm no longer afraid of getting flats. They will also plug any size of puncture because you can use multiple plugs side by side if one is too big; the plug material is also the best, and the quality and engineering of this product is incredible.
A flat bike tyre is the last thing anyone wants to deal with. Especially when out on the road on a long bike ride, I had a bad experience. One of my tyres had a 1/4" cut in it, and the sealant wasn't doing its job of keeping air in the tyre (20-23). In less than 10 meters, 30 PSI was lost. After 20- I was about to order new tyres after 30 minutes of staring at the tyre. I finally found a small slice that didn't appear to be too severe, poked into the hole with the tool, cleaned out the debris stuck in one of the darts, and voila, no more leaking. It would have been simpler to replace the tyre. br>br> I was able to return home with the assistance of this device. All of my frustration stemmed from a difficult time locating a small slice in the tyre, but dynaplug made getting back on the road a breeze.
I tried adding air and spinning the wheel in the hopes of finding a small leak, but it was too large. Although I was able to locate the punctured area, I was unable to pinpoint the precise location. I didn't have a tube, so I used the dynaplug instead. It was difficult to find the exact puncture hole, and I had to squeeze the tire to find the exact spot where the plug should be inserted. To push down the plug and ensure that the rubber inserted knelt the hole, you'll need the tools case. To refill the air, I used my second air cartridges, which worked fine. I was able to ride my bicycle back to my house. I decided to keep the tire, and after 4 hours, the air seems to be holding very well. Highly recommended for small leaks; not sure if it can seal large cuts or sidewalls.
If you've been debating whether or not to purchase this kit, now is the time. I slashed my tire on the first ride I used it; it took three plugs to repair it, but they held, and I'm about ten rides in with no leaks or issues; they kept my ride going without the need for a tube, and they saved my new tire.
This pill is fantastic; it's worth purchasing even if only for the craftsmanship; you won't be disappointed if you purchase one.
I haven't used it yet because I don't have a need for it, but it appears to work well, is very compact, and has excellent material quality.
This will be accompanied by a 2 oz stans sealant. I used this to repair a large screw hole that had forced me to call my wife for help and had leaked all of my sealant; it immediately held air.
