I bought these pedals because they "looked" like they would last a long time. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the installation before my return time expired. They only lasted about a hundred miles, if that, after I installed them before they began to click. After replacing my bottom bracket, I assumed the noise was coming from a worn-out bottom bracket due to its age, and wondered how the sound could be coming from brand new pedals. As a result, I rode my bike to the nearest bike shop and explained my situation. He mounted his "shop test pedals" on my bike and rode it for a few minutes before returning and telling me to ride it. That's right, there's no need to click any more. To put it mildly, I was enraged, and the bike shop owner proceeded to demonstrate how these "appear" to be extremely durable pedals, but are clearly not. These pedals are definitely not for you. Before I got to 100 miles, I started hearing a very annoying clicking sound that got louder with each ride. Of course, it was after my return deadline, so I now have a collection of very unusual paper weights. A valuable lesson has been learned!.
I ride in a highly technical area with numerous rocks, roots, stumps, climbs, creek beds, and other obstacles that are constantly "reaching out" to break things like pedals. I've had these pedals for a few weeks and was concerned about their durability given the price. I've slammed them several times while riding, usually downhill at high speeds or while jumping, climbing hard, or making a hairpin turn, and I've yet to dent or bend them. Needless to say, their longevity has astounded me! br>br>Performance br>br>Performance br>br>Performance br In terms of sound quality, I can't tell the difference between these and other high-end pedals I've had. I chose black as my color scheme. I bought silver pedals to match my bike, and the paint hasn't shown any signs of wear yet. All-inclusive br>br> So far, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
I had high hopes for these pedals. The color scheme, weight, and ride feel were all appealing to me. I've only had them for about a month when I hit a rock at about 10 mph, and "bam," the pedal is bent and needs to be replaced. I could see a big fall or slamming into a rock at high speeds, but they aren't very durable and can easily ruin your day. Too bad.
First impression: aesthetically pleasing packaging They appear to have a high level of intelligence. The left and right pedals are identical in terms of quality, including the logo and colors. This not only satisfies my obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but it also demonstrates that the manufacturer was concerned about such details. Five replacement studs, two replacement spacers, a wrench for these two items, and two sets of crush washers were included in the package. The instructions, on the other hand, made no mention of any of this. It's not a major issue; It was clear what they were used for. The pedal axle's base (inside) is set for a 15mm wrench, and the outside is equipped with an 8mm hex socket for tightening them down. I haven't had the opportunity to try them out yet. After a few runs on the single-player, I'll update this review. track. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: I have had nothing but positive experiences after a month of use. They grip well, spin freely and smoothly, and I haven't noticed any flex (I'm 175 pounds and frequently go airborne). I'm happy with them and plan to use them on my other bikes as well. They get an unqualified thumbs up from me.
Which, to be honest, weren't all that bad. I simply desired something more superior. Even though I read some of the negative reviews, I still like these upgrades because they are the most expensive of all the upgrades at almost $27. The pedals are sturdy and well-made for the price, and they move freely in both directions. A small clear bag of replacement pins and a small tightening wrench were also included in this package. So I figured that was a good thing, especially since the description didn't mention the extra tool or pins. The colos are extremely vivid. In the photos, the gold color appeared to be more champagne, but I was mistaken. They definitely stand out on my bike, but they aren't exactly what I was looking for. I was considering purchasing the solid black pedals, but this tri-color set appealed to me more. Colored pedals drew my attention because I wanted a splash of blue on my bike, but I didn't get a discount for giving them my feedback. I deducted one star for the slight color difference, and I deducted one star because I haven't tested them yet; I will update later; however, I am very pleased with the pedals at this time, and I would buy them again if I could.
I bought a new Giant hardtail and swapped out the plastic pedals for these. The pedals appear to be solid, long-lasting, and stylish. It is very simple to set up. br>However, after 150-plus years, don't be fooled. The left pedal began to click and slide back and forth after 200 miles of biking. br>The return policy is only 30 days, which is ridiculous for this type of item. BEWARE OF THE BUYER! br>br>BUYER BEWARE OF THE BUYER BEWARE OF THE BUYER BEWARE.
The star rating for these pedals is very high. Only thing that comes to mind is that if you're a light rider, they must be fine. I've already completed two sets of riding. The first one lasted about 40 miles before it started clicking, but it was still within the return period, so it was replaced. They clicked after about 240 miles on the new set.
These pedals are miniature works of art! I've always had a problem with my feet sliding back and forth or side to side, and these pedals keep them right where they belong. I had a set on an older bike that is now a stationary, and I had to get these for the new bike because they come with extra pins and a wrench, which I really like. Shims are also included in case you hear a rubbing noise, which most people associate with a bearing problem. My only criticism is that the pedals are advertised as having 9/16" attachment patterns. My wrenches are 9/16" and 15mm, and the 9/16" will not fit. The 15mm is capable of doing so. It's a minor flaw in an otherwise excellent pedal.
