It's more decorative, but it also protects a little

It's just a cover for now. It's extremely thin and would offer little protection to the sprocket if it were to collide with something. See pic. The thickness is almost identical to that of a spade for wall plugs. If you're going to buy something, go for a bigger size. My 42T sprocket is exactly the same size as the 42T I bought. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I've used it before and it hasn't damaged any stumps. As a result, having something is preferable to having nothing at all.

is only intended for use in the interior holes. I'm not sure what kind of bike this fits, but it's not a standard mountain bike, and it's not accessible without drilling out the rivets, even though they're not the same size.

I didn't care for the graphics, so I put it up with the plain black side facing out. Everything appears to be in working order.

I received this bash guard today and I only gave it four stars because it is not as thick as Driveline and other brands I purchased, but it is thick enough to do the job, and also four stars because the back of it was not completely painted and there is a blemish on the back, and the bolts that came with it are not long enough; a bash guard should be at least a quarter inch away from the largest chainring so that it protects the chain ring from bending, and the bolt This one is butted up against the chainring, which means it will bend the chainring if something happens, such as if you run into a boulder and slide against it or if you hit a stump. Anyway, because I'm handy, I was able to solve this problem by ordering longer bolts and screwing a quarter-inch-wide nut onto each one, which worked perfectly.
