As you can see, the chain is not attached in the picture.
It worked. Thanks for the tip. There are times when my shoe will catch when I'm taking a left turnback. The frame is still protected from chain slap the difference is not that big of a deal. So far, neither I nor my son have faced any problems.
I am using this on my CF framed ebike, with the intent of saving my paint from chain slap, and to also reduce drivetrain noise under fast elevation changes from jumps and hops etc. This comes with zip ties ready to use, which makes the installation easy.
The zip ties that were provided (although there wasn't a single one) made the installation very simple. My '21 Giant Fathom 1, however, was a bit small for this, however as you can see in the attached photo, it was easily widened and made snug for my bike. The material seems to be a generic plastic material that should be pretty sturdy. I can't speak to the durability of it, however.
The chainstays follow the contours of the chainstay easily and are flexible enough to allow installation. For two people, this is a good deal Pack a bag.
The cover is a perfect fit for my Maxfoot ebike.
An almost transparent polycarbonate sheet is attached by zip ties to a large piece of metal. You will slide under it and get mud under it, causing your bike frame to be scratched. It is worth spending a little more money on a proper cloth material that will properly protect your bike and protect you from chain noises.
