Questions & Answers

For my daughter's 24" bike I need a new V brake. Is it possible to check whether this ?

What kind of bike is it? A mountain bike or a road bike? If it's a mountain bike, the parts should work.

Can you tell me if the brake pads are ?

It is included that the brake pads are installed.

Do you think this will fit into ?

You will be able to fit a Diamondback Tess 24 with this part. The bike has a V-shaped frame, based on my research You can brake. Diamondback Tess 24 can be fitted with these Shimanos.

It looks like it would be a good fit for a Can you give me 5 rims?

It's going to happen, I think. The rims on my car are 700mm. In my estimation, 27 is the right answer. The number five.

A Shimano V-type gun More than one reason applies to why brakes are a poor design
3/5

JRP has shared his experiences - I have to echo his. Bushing the V-shaped It is also my experience that the Shimano brakes do not sit flush on conventional V-frame bicycles Stump sizes (pretty sure I haven't found any that match the Shimano specs yet, but This is in addition to the locating pin not sitting deep enough in the frame to be comfortable. But the biggest concern I have is that the supplied bolts are only 15mm long (most V-shaped bolts are much longer). Normally, brakes have bolts that measure 20mm in length). There is one more thing to look out for when it comes to this This is the body of Shimano's V-frame The brake post is buried so deep that the edge of it is five times as deep as the brake. The brake arm is 5mm down. The jury is still out on whether this failure was due to a defective stud (I highly believe so) or the short length of the Shimano bolt that caused the front half of the stud to break off, but I would wager that a combination of both factors contributed to the At any rate, it is not a good example of how to engineer a product. As nice as an integrated bushing in a V-shaped shaft, this is not a good example. What would you recommend I buy if I wanted to buy a Shimano V-Dimension Do I need to rethink my decision, now that I know what I know? There are none. A. *B. *P. Some observers have noted that these brake pads appear to be worn almost to the point of replacement. It seems to me that Shimano continues to grind the rubber's edge It does seem a bit odd at first glance, but it is in fact part of the shipment prep process.

Brembo brakes are too short on the inside depth
4/5

As far as I can tell, everything works well. I found the brakes to be beautiful and work well, however the brakes do not flush properly, as has been stated by others. As can be seen in my picture, the bolt size is standard a 20 mm. The issue is not related to the bolt size. In the issue, the depth of the inner brakes was not the same as the depth of brakes stock on every bike. My measurement was roughly 6 inches. The thickness of 35 mm or 1 mm In the photo, you can see the dimensions of 25 inches. I hope you will take the time to read this Shimano because it is an easy fix that can make a lot of customers happy. Besides that, it would be a pleasure to buy from them again if they fix their brake problem.

The brakes on my Tektro have been replaced! In order to overhaul my Trek 7200 hybrid, Tektro V-Flex brake pads have been installed It has linear brakes (linear pull)
5/5

The Kool-Kide brake pads were in need of replacement, so I decided to try them The Tektro's I owned had far less stopping power than my new brakes! Their price is only a few dollars more than the Tektros! It's hard to imagine what these are capable of with the Kool-Aid I found the installation to be very simple! The pros are This brake has a much better stopping power than the ATETTIIS they cane with the bike.
Price
It comes with a 90 degree noodle as well as a The cons are Brake pad adjustment does not come with either an allen head or a hex nut, so it cannot be adjusted with either of them. It takes time and effort to adjust. the Allen head nut out of my Tektros)

In the event you need to replace the brake pads on a subpar set of V-shaped brakes, you might want to check this out A new set of brakes or a replacement V-belt In general, for the price it is a very good deal when it comes to brakes.

A very limited set of instructions made it difficult for me to fit my bike
4/5

Buying these to restore a bike that needed new cables and brake pads was a great idea. These entire sets were an excellent value for the price. A lever or cable is not included, nor are cables. As I read in the reviews that somebody had used them on the exact model of my bike, the older Trek 7200 hybrid, I assumed they would fit. In addition, I read that there is no real difference between the rear and the front sets, so I ordered two front sets since the rear set was unavailable. It works, at least to a certain extent. It's not as strong as my previous set, so I had to try a few placements on the rear to determine how it would work. The top hole on the rear mounts has a high level of resistance, but not the center. For this reason, I used the top hole instead. Only one hole is present on the front mounts so they do not provide enough resistance for them As I was trying to align and toe in the pads, mounting took some time. Thankfully, Park Tools How-to has been around for a long time. YouTube videos are the best way to watch videos online. You can watch detailed how-to videos on installing every type of caliper brake, including V brakes, on the brand's website. It would have been beneficial for the seller to clarify the differences between the front and rear sets on their Amazon sales page, despite the fact that I highly recommend this item.

You need brakes
5/5

The brakes are very good, and though if you buy them as a set, they are a bit pricey, but well worth it. Please see the following Since I now own a used specialized bike I bought from a local vendor, I would possibly be able to use the brakes on my Huffy bike, which I will hand over to a friend. I have been using this Shimano Alivio BR1000 brake system for many years and it's still performing well Even though they're only available in silver or black, the T4000s are pretty sweet. The springs on my previous brakes (which were this exact model) broke after bending too hard. I learned if the screw tightening the spring cannot be tightened anymore you can bend the springs. This is happening when your wheels are not rotating on one side or the other. There is rubbing between the brakes and the wheel rim. The old BR-180 had a broken pinch bolt brake spring as a consequence An IT4000. As they don't sell these brakes separately, I bought a new set even though the old one worked fine, the same way you throw away old shoes when one has a hole and the other does not, so you throw them away. Having to do that was kinda annoying, but at least I have a spare in case the other spring breaks. What I've decided to do is keep the spare in an accessible place if I need it. The bike parts Shimano makes are great, and some of their products are just awesome.
