The components of my bike don't normally get greased, so resistance to rust is of vital importance to me since I live in Minnesota and use my bike in the winter. The reason that I bought these was that they are "Stainless Steel" (a family of grades of steel, and arguably a marketing term). I don't care about my weight as much as I do about looking good, which is probably why I didn't want titanium. I would like these to be rust, corrosion, and rust resistant, but unfortunately they adhere strongly to magnets, so at best they are stainless steel that isn't as corrosion resistant as I would like. The reason I rated these low was because I believe the buyer expectation of a "stainless steel" bolt for this application is to get the maximum amount of corrosion/rust resistance possible. It wouldn't matter if these bolts didn't include "stainless" in their name or had given me details on the specific alloy used if they had not included it in their name.
They're not much to look at. It's a cap-in-hand kind of thing M5 bolt with a T25 head and a glob of blue thread can be found in the photo- Turn the key. It's all there is to it. You won't need any rocket science to understand what we're talking about. it can be a real pain in the neck - and elsewhere - when you cannot Occasionally you might end up using both Torx and Allen head bolts, which isn't a problem until you have to take the disc out. It's better to buy one of these bags and keep it in the toolbox, since you'll need it sooner or later.
The request was promptly received. A T25 bicycle disc brake screw is a basic bicycle screw. It has been quite a while since I bought my other set from my local bike shop, so I probably won't get chance to try these until a very, very long time from now. They appear uniform and have a semi-permanent coating.
There is no problem with bolts. They have threadlock, but they do their jobs. Although I'd like to have more threadlock, the amount that is currently in place is fine for me. Due to the weak stitching, the bag separated when I opened it, so I was forced to relocate unused screws to another bag.
Getting t25 heads in the mail and you get 4mm Allen heads is very frustrating. A t25 bit can be used on it, but I wouldn't risk it. Luckily, one of my discs had a 4mm allen to use and threaded on without issue. It would have been nice if it were T25.
You can lock it by adding a little comma That was it! Tite and off I.
The fit is perfect.
Product of high quality.
