They're hooked up to the television via cable. The lever is used to pressurize two cylinders using a hydraulic plunger. Both brake pads are pushed into the disk by them. Most mechanical brakes only apply pressure to the outside brake pad as the disk flexes, squeezing the inner and outer pads together.

Nothing, however, is universally applicable. These brakes easily replaced the old mechanical brakes and provide better braking and feel.

If you're upgrading the hydraulic brakes on your Lectric eBike, new 2. Here are my findings: when installing the brakes, use the included frame brackets; they allow more of the pad to contact the rotor than the stock brackets; on the front wheel, there is a clearance issue between the back of the caliper and the spokes; if installing lit all the instructions say the spokes will do it; after centering, I had to move the caliper to clear; I haven't ridden it yet to see if it runs under flex; the rear brake has 250 and now have all of the pad usage, on issues with the spokes in the back wheel, will update when I get a chance to ride it, brakes feel nice and solid. This is the kit that I used.
What a difference between mechanical brakes and disc brakes in terms of stopping power - and much simpler and less expensive to install than a complete hydraulic system - genius!.
Much more effective braking. I recently purchased an Ebike and was dissatisfied with the braking system. This was a fantastically low-cost improvement.
There are two pistons. It's easy to set up and adjust, and you'll notice a noticeable increase in braking power and modulation. It's ideal for those who don't want to commit to full Hydro at this time.
Hydraulic was the best option. All of my Ezer bikes will be converted to run hydraulic lines via cables.
It's a step up from the last break caliper I had. Better control gives me a good feeling. My stopping distance has shrunk noticeably as a result.
These were very simple to install and are a significant improvement over my bike's original mechanical disk brakes, though I cannot attest to their long-term durability.
