My disappointment over this purchase is very deep. In the morning my husband adjusted the skates so she could skate in her new skates for the first time & during that process, she accidentally snapped two of the plastic pieces. After a few minutes, it became obvious that her skates were too big for her size 11 sneakers! In an effort not to upset her because she had been anticipating this moment for a long time, my husband crammed her foot into the hole just so she could enjoy a brief moment of bliss. A great toy for children age 2 and up I have a daughter who is 5 years old and she wears size 8 toddler shoes, and the skate adjustment takes about half her skate size.
