Selected User Reviews For Bixe 16" Pro Balance Bike for for Big Kids 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 Years Old
It wasn't fun for him to learn and Mom and Dad were The student seemed to understand the idea of balancing, although he didn't seem very confident that he can do it. Despite the fact that he did not understand why we must keep pedaling to achieve momentum, he was afraid of us letting go of the bike. We had to let go of his bike every time he bale, jumping off the bike or putting his foot down to stop him. He loves the Bixe bike. I bought it for him. We don't have to hold on to him, we don't have to follow him closely as he keeps asking to ride his bike. Now that we've had it for about a week, we're accustomed to it. I am amazed at how much confidence he has gained while riding, and the joy he is experiencing. A video of us showing him braking on an incline in our driveway is attached. He drags his feet in order to avoid hitting the curb. We were at a campground this weekend and he did not brake at all while racing down a huge hill. A ledge/bar at the bottom of the ledge allows him to rest his feet. Over and over, he rode his bike up and down the big hill. On the bottom of the hill was a safe spot (for the kid). In conclusion, I really like this bike, and I think he will be able to adjust better to a bike with pedals now that he is confident balancing. He would have loved this bike if he had gotten it earlier! I wish we had gotten this for him sooner.
I rely on longer reviews by others to make my purchase decisions, especially those by parents. This is going to take a bit of time so I'll break it up. Due to the large size of my 4-year-old's balance bike, we needed one with a larger diameter The year is The old child is tall for his age, so we foolishly tried turning him on a pedal bike with training wheels first. (He loved the training wheels so much that we realized we might never want to let him go without them. He does not have a lot of athletic ability and tends to learn The age, the balancing delay, and the inherited lack of athletic ability all lead to the conclusion that he may be using a balance bike for some time to come. During the evaluation process, we ordered both the Bixe and the Strider 14x Sport. The Strider has a better build quality. If you have more than one child and plan to pass the bike down a few times as older children outgrow it, you might consider this option, as it is a little heavier- Having responsibilities. The sticker price is negotiable - it's up to you whether the higher price is justified. There is the option to add pedals to the Sport (for an additional $50), but the small tires and footrest make it look like a little kid bike, so I wouldn't be surprised if my child starts asking for a "big kid" bike once the pedals are added. Although my child doesn't rest his feet on either bike, I thought the footrest on the Strider would be important (as opposed to just grippy strips on the body of the Bixe), but he never rests his feet on either. If he wants to coast, he simply raises his feet. For less than half the price of the Strider, the Bixe is an excellent choice. The difference in design between this and the Strider is difficult to describe. There is a slight difference between the weight of the metal and the metal used in the Bixe - You need to be careful when assembling the front wheel because things fit together more loosely (and it has no effect on how the bike works after it's all In addition to its lack of all-tool seat height adjustment, the Bixe lacks the ability to adjust seat angles. It's really easy to adjust the seat height of the strider while riding it, and I've had to do it a couple of times. For the Bixe seat to be adjusted, you will need the allen wrench. (Having said that, my child has never requested an adjustment for his Bixe seat, whereas he has The differences I noticed would not have been apparent if I hadn't compared the bikes side by side It ended up that we kept both bikes, so that one could stay with A kid could easily put anything they want at this Bixe. It feels solid on its own, and is definitely up to the task. My kid is going to be able to use it until he is old enough to upgrade to pedals and it will likely remain in good enough condition so as to be passed It looks more grown up to my kid, so maybe that's why he prefers the Bixe? His age makes it difficult for him to describe the difference between the two You may use the following phrase if applicable - There is a difference to the way they feel when they ride on the bike. I know it's one of the things he looks forward to when he goes to see his grandparents. Ultimately, this is what I have to say The bike is not only my kid's favorite, but also my budget, as it is cheaper than It was difficult to put together the Bixe bike I received due to a minor problem with the packaging. Customers of Bixe were able to get the problem resolved above and beyond their expectations. Among the things they did was solve the problem quite quickly and at a level far beyond what I could expect. In conclusion, you don't need to spend $250 for a bike. You and your kid will be satisfied with the Bixe. *If you're still reading, I hope this review helps you make a wise.
There is no record of him having done so. The only thing I like about bikes is to turn them upside down and spin them. While on his little brother's balance bike, his coordination issues made pedaling difficult. But looking at him trying to ride a bike meant for a three-year-old, he looked so awkward. It was a great decision finding and buying this bike! He is beyond thrilled with it and went out to ride it immediately. Although I am not sure how it will hold up, it does feel very strong and durable, so I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness. Since the seat is adjustable and pretty low, he should be able to use it for quite some time, since the seat is adjustable and should fit him well. He can try pedals at some point if he wants to.
I think a 5 yr old is not quite ready to ride a bicycle yet. He loved his balance bike, so we bought him one when he was 5 years old This is a 16 inch rim size (9). This is something he absolutely loves! I have a 4-year-old boy who is of average size for his age. He is 5 years old, and the lowest seat level fits him just fine with The 9-year-old boy I ride it with can also ride it. Having air under the tyres allows the tyres to roll smoothly on pavement There are filled tires and the vehicle is easy to drive. getting pretty good now, which allows us to ride with the three kids a little easier since he can just about keep up with them. To prevent flat tires, I put slime in the tires. Because it is so light, we can put it on our double stroller if he gets tired and wants to ride in the stroller. The only problem we encountered was a bent pipe at the handlebar attachment point, which I had to bend back so that the handlebars would fit. The inconvenience is sort of bothersome, but it's not worth returning and waiting.
Our kids are all taught to ride bikes in the same way. It is a great way to build balance and stamina, and it is low stress. As well, it is light enough that my 5 year old daughter was so proud of herself for lifting it over her head yesterday. It is so funny. My wife just rolled it down the driveway this morning laughing so hard. Aside from its strength and lightness, it is extremely strong and lightweight. Furthermore, it looks very nice and her older sisters would leave their bikes pretty much anywhere, but she insists on bringing hers into the shed every night to keep it tidy. We are so glad Her shoes do not slide off the frame when she tucks her feet up while she coasts, because the frame is covered with grip tape. Plastic covers on the adjustment bolts should prevent her from being too bashed up, and prevent them from rusting, as they have a tendency to do. I've gotten wooden scoots before and they held up well, but they were made of wood and didn't stand up to The quality of the work is outstanding.
