Questions & Answers

Is it able to hold a standard water bottle. Dasani can be compared to Poland's spring. Is that right?

In fact, I ordered a set of these because they are The water bottle I use is a wider 750 ml bottle and works fine.

What is the maximum allowable width of a 64-inch How many ounces of Klean Kanteen are ?

Klean Kanteen sizes 18 oz and 27 oz and the kid's sizes fit in this container. The same diameter can be found in all three bottles, and this is the MAXIMUM bottle size that may be held in this holder. A size larger than 40 ounces (64 oz) would not fit safely, even if it were to deform Make sure your safety isn't at risk. It was a good investment since I bought four and I have two on my bike's frame (road bike) and two behind my seat (adds additional mounting hardware).

Can this container hold bottles with a maximum diameter of 12 inches?

can accommodate a bottle with a diameter of 3 inches. The 24 oz. bottle I use for mine is my preferred size. Using a thermos. There's really no limit to the size of this image.

How do you mount it? Do you get mounting bolts with it?

It is true. To fit into the holes in the bicycle, the bolts are standard.

The product was great, but there were no mounting screws
4/5

In addition to being versatile with different types of bottles or cans, this product provides some ease of use. As a result, it DOES NOT include the screws that are usually included with this type of purchase. It's important to check if your bike still has them, and if it doesn't you'll have to visit I find it absurd that they are not included in the cost of this unit. Except when you need to drive around town to find two 5 mm screws, it is a fairly low-cost process.

This is awesome! There's just something about this cage that I love
5/5

As a matter of fact, I am not a professional biker. Nevertheless, I have picked up the habit a few months ago and try to go out for an hour or so every day. This past week, I walked and biked on trails and streets. My purpose for purchasing this cage was to find a small enough container to hold a water bottle of normal size. It does a good job of holding it on bumpy rides. I've traveled some bumpy highways with this. The rubber sides on the metal part hold it in very tight, without the need for a hair tie to keep it in place. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see if my husband's Yeti Rambler would fit since he uses it every day, and it did! In terms of height, it seemed to be over sized, yet it fit nicely in the suitcase. Anyways, I'm going to upload some pictures and some video to give you all an insight into what it truly looks like. Anyways, haven't had it long, I hope it holds out and doesn't break because I've been absolutely loving it so far. (Well, I am trying to upload the photos and video, but I am unable to upload the video with the Yeti. Sorry about that).

To fit my larger size, I need some customization
4/5

In terms of quality right out of the box, this model seems to be in good shape, and I was particularly interested in In turn, I didn't like using an actual bike bottle all the time and appreciated the convenience of being able to grab a bottle of water or a bottle of propel from the fridge or a convenience store. Unlike the boonies, I'm not far from a place to grab a bottle of water when I stop to clean my bike. My bike is a Crusier, and I'm not in the boonies. To fit a standard 20oz camelback water bottle into mine I had to open it all the way, and it was still very Rubber guides on the sides did not even touch the metal ring at its top. The metal ring was pressing into the bottle and sticking out of the side. Although I had to bust out some muscle, I bent the steel along the bottom and got an additional 1/8 inch clearance at the top so that it can properly hold my camelback when the setting is as small as it can go. Due to that bend, it's a lot more adjustable now and it fits in a large 32 oz soda bottle.

I cannot get my 2 to work
3/5

An inch and a half in diameter. The bottle is made of stainless steel. The purpose of my purchase was to replace my old, boring, poorly constructed cage A perfect-working system Place an order for a This one was my first choice, since I would never go wrong with Topeak There is a 24oz Hydro Flask with a diameter of 2 inches that I want to use. I thought I would be able to replace it with a bigger one and it would still This is incorrect. Thanks to my lack of foresight, I did not purchase the larger There is no way I can fit this in! If it's the friction between materials, I'm not sure how to explain it Cage and post are made of rubber, and the posts are stainless steel coated with powder There is a matte finish on the bottle, but even when the cage is open all the way (you can place the largest bottles in there), it is almost impossible to put the bottle in or remove it. There were even damages to the heavy duty paint on my Hydro Flask bottle. If you own a Hydro Flask or have ever touched one, then you know what I am talking about There is no way to damage the paint. Even though I have dropped my bottle dozens of times and it hasn't been scratched, I have only used my bottle on the Topeak Modula cage a half dozen times and it has already been Using this cage with plastic bottles might be a good idea My review will be updated after I have tried the Polar bottle Plastic bottles just can't keep my water cold, and I like to keep my drinking water ice cold.

As soon as I fully unscrewed it, it was much smaller than I anticipated
4/5

The Topeak bottle cage replaces the Bontrager's RL bottle cage that I was using on my bike previously. My favorite bottle, Camelbak's insulated Podium big chill 25oz, is a bit tight in there because it is insulated. As well, the rubber hold on both sides should give the bottle a greater "grip" when it is held. You have to exert a slight to moderate amount of effort just to pull the bottle out of the bottle holder. The trickier part comes when you need to insert it back into the bottle holder. As far as loosening goes, I don't know when it will get loose and my concern is whether the screw adjustment rod will do so as well, compromising the threading strength. A bike cage like this would be a nice accessory to have if you have a bottle that's even slightly smaller than the Podium insulated bottle.

The bottle holds up on a rough trail
5/5

This cage is the same one I ordered for my road bike and one for my mountain bike. I wanted the adjustable cage for my mountain bike since I need to carry various bottles all the time. This holds the thin, costly plastic water bottles you buy at the grocery store in the smallest setting and the standard swim bag size water bottles that have the indentations on top in the largest setting. Installed on the mountain bike, I took the trail for a single track trail ride covering ten miles. The trail consisted of everything from smooth soil to rocks, holes, ruts, roots, and much more. The bike should be able to endure rough rides without losing it. I tested the holder using three bottles the standard size bike bottle with the teeth pull opening, a Poweraid bottle I reuse and a simple grocery store water bottle made from the plastic that's cheap and thin. In spite of the rough terrain as well as all three size bottles at different fluid levels, the cage held them all. There was never a time when a bottle came close to falling out or getting loose. The thin plastic bottle, as well as the full and empty bottles, held its shape well. It is easy to put and take the bottles out of the cage when I stop to drink while trail riding. It actually helped a lot to put some silicone on the rubber coating of the wire cage so it would be easier to remove. This did not make things smoother, but it did make them All of the tests were passed with a 100% score, and I'm satisfied with my purchase. Unless one is hit by another vehicle upon riding a road bike, one does not need to worry about the bottle falling out unless they get hit by another vehicle, in which case the problem would not affect them It is easy for me to slide the bottles in and out of this case and I am also satisfied with the application. You will be able to cary a variety of bottles in the cage and they will be held well by it. I recommend this cage for road and mountain biking.
