Questions & Answers

Does it have to be a schwinn bike in order ?

Across all bike brands, the bolt pattern is the same. I tested it on my Trek and it works just fine.

How does it maintain the coldness of the water?

It would be best to fill with water and freeze it, as both of the below guys have said. A hot day will cause it to thaw and be nice and cold within a few minutes.

I already have the studs to mount a water bottle on my bike. Is there a set of screws that I need to mount this mount?

As part of the bottle mount, you will receive screws. In addition to the mounting bracket, this set comes with screws.

The Schwinn IC3 spin bike has this mount. Can it be used on this?

A great deal for a Schwinn 23oz sports bottle and a Schwinn mountain bike (MTB) cage combo
4/5

I bought them for my son's 24" Schwinn MTB. A few months ago he got into biking and needed an easy way to hydrate on slightly longer rides we plan to go on As far as I know, we have not taken this tire on a ride yet, since it is still cool in Pennsylvania Below is a list of my findings, so far, broken up into two parts (bottle and cage) because of the combination The pros are Very nice construction (bottle) If you like it) It looks nice (the black and silver It has a viewing area (which is not shown in the product description) that allows you to see how much liquid remains There are black "swirls" which are silicone to provide a more comfortable According to the bottle's label, it can be put in the dishwasher. I filled the bottle with water, sealed it, checked that the nozzle was closed, and squeezed the bottle really hard. During this process, no liquid was emitted To stop the flow of water, the nozzle snaps into place when pushed down It's a nice touch to have the nozzle cover It is easier to squeeze and get water inside the housing due to it being thinner than usual plastic Written by hand. He would not be able to use it on his seat tube due to its large size) This bottle holder must be sturdy enough to hold bottles, but flexible enough to adjust the grip (In the bottle) the cage came with a nice set of Allen-Keys The head of the braze was severed (bolts) (longer than those pre-existing A few screws, wing nuts, and mounting brackets (if you don't have braze-ons) were installed on my son's MTB The cage can be mounted on holes already provided for mounting). Brazed holes were found in my son's mountain bike A hole on the ground As such, I am unable to comment on how well the bracket Although, I would think that some kind of rubber backing between the brackets and your tubing would help remedy this problem (for a few reasons) if it is something you need to use. Even though rubber of this type wasn't included, it was still a nice Schwinn (or Polar? See the pic of the bottle label) supplied The cons are Nit- (Bottle) Picking here smelled of plastic when we opened the bottle (before washing), then when we shook the bottle the smell was gone I was concerned at first about the smell of it (though it turned out not to be too serious) I feel like the dust cover for the nozzle will break over time (specifically the piece that connects to the ring that goes around the mouth of the bottle and the four snaps at the bottom for locking the cover over the nozzle so it stays put). Even though I'm a pro of the housing, I'm concerned that it will become brittle over time because it's a bit thin. Additionally, I am concerned that the silicone grips will peel off over time and continue to fall off with There will be a time when we know Nonetheless, I need to work with my son to ensure that the grips of the bottle do not contact the cage's "lip" which holds the bottle in place. I will also need to work with my son to suggest the proper gripping method for sliding the bottle in the cage. Please see the General Comments below There was a plastic cap on the bottle, as I noted An unpleasant smell was present, which made me uneasy In any case, I washed the nozzle with a baking soda/water mix and rinsing it thoroughly. Once I had the bottle thoroughly washed, I placed one very small drop of dish soap/water inside and washed it multiple times, then rinsed it with a solution of 1/4 lemon juice to 3/4 water and rinsed again. The issue has been resolved. It neither smelled of plastic nor had a taste of plastic Water neither tasted of plastic nor had a plastic taste. Although the instructions say the bottle can be on the dishwasher, I do not wash plastic in the machine. Additionally, the whole plastic garbage thing is a huge problem After reading the breakdown concept, I'm concerned the silicone grips may come off the bottle if it's placed in the dishwasher, as they must be adhered to the bottle base. When heat and glue are combined, they usually do not work well. Creating the seal around the mouth of the bottle is achieved by the lipped area on the bottle cap. Plastic is used on both the cap and the lip. No gasket, no silicone, and no gaskets are used in this system. Only compression is used to create the Once again, the device did not leak during testing You should bear this in mind, though. I wouldn't expect to see anything like that at this price range) The thin housing is not likely to keep liquid cold as well as insulated bottles, and the material is more likely to sweat (so it is a good thing the grips are on the body). It is important to remember that I haven't used this Taste will be interesting to hear about (I don't expect much from it temperature-wise For example, insulated bottles) are far less expensive than regular bottles on longer trips.

Recommended The combo looks good, do I recommend it? A budget bottle (which is what commuters and light cyclists need anyway) for short trips (fill it halfway with water, freeze it, and then fill the rest of it that day) as well as a decent cage to boot, these are good choices. You have a winner here for this price. You might want to consider an insulated bottle if you intend to keep it for a long time. You can keep shopping in your hauls. I paid the Amazon-receipt amount, in case you were wondering There is no advertised price for this product. I only write reviews on products I personally use and test. Please know I have done my best to write a fair review and I always welcome both constructive feedback (to improve my reviews) and questions related to this review (to make it more useful and helpful). As time permits, I will begin addressing both within a reasonable amount of time from the date the review was posted. It's important to me to take care of my family In other words, I don't always get to spend my time as I wish. It is much appreciated if you could understand.

Kids bikes shouldn't be used with this kind of frame
3/5

Our kids bike is 26 inches and we bought this to fit it, but it just barely fits. It was ok for us since we had both). As soon as the frame was installed, it was determined that it would be difficult to get the bottle in and out due to the frame size. What this means for the rider is that he must stop the bike to pull it out and What the story is trying to say. This product will be available only if you have a valid full-time job The size of an adult bike. Thanks for reading!.

It's one of the best bikes you'll find for the money and it's good quality
5/5

It's not pre-assembled, unlike many others. A hole was drilled into the cage to make it easy to screw it into place. adjust the mounting hardware on the door so it would fit around the frame, but I managed to do that. The installation itself is simple, but it took me a little longer than other people because I had to play with the mounting hardware and angles of the hardware. In addition to the one I wanted, I looked at many others and thought a low-profile cage would have been better One of the profiles is slimmer and less bulky, but only this one comes with mounting hardware (why can't the other products include mounting hardware? Why should I purchase The new accessory should be added at an extra cost)

I have been on a few bike rides with it now and I have not had any There are several reasons why Using a through indicator is an excellent way to check when water is running out. While the bottle will not slip out of the cage on bumpy rides (despite condensation from thawing ice water), it will not slip out of the cage when faced with a twist. No plastic smell was present in the bottle (some users reported this, but I did not have any issues). You won't find a better value anywhere else. This is a nice touch to add the plastic top to the bottle. This is the product you need.

I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the Although I never expected to review this, I am also astonished how hard it was to find a cage and bottle that fit well with each other
4/5

There were lots of too tight fitting clothes, and some too loose ones as well. I like this fit, but I'd prefer a different lid because this one has a dome on top, which can make it difficult to use with one hand, but that isn't a huge issue. As well as keeping the mouth area covered, that's a nice touch. The idea is actually more appealing to my wife. Initially, the black on the sides may seem a bit rubbery, but it makes As far as I can tell, this is the best set I have found. I have not upgraded my version of the software yet, but most of what I described above remains true. As we have gone on longer rides, there are two issues that have come up. The first is that there are easier caps and bottles to drink from one hand, and the second is that this bottle isn't Now, we are using Camelback Podium bottles, and this one sits on the ledge. I don't think there was anything wrong with it for a casual ride. Once we got to about mile 7 this one didn't have any ice left after filling up before we started. The day was sunny and the temperature was in the upper However, the spout was also less preferred than the Camelback after trying it. You might have been able to prolong its lifespan if we froze some water in the bottom.

I am satisfied with the overall outcome
5/5

The bottle holder and the bottle are of good quality. In the event that your bike frame does not have prethreaded holes, they supply mounting hardware. This bottle comes with a cap that keeps debris off the spout so that you don't have to worry about it getting stuck. The clear plastic cover doesn't get in the way of drinking when I ride, since I don't use a lot of dirt on my bike. Under the lid, you'll find a round ring that fits under the cap. When you unscrew it, the ring will come off. Should I need it at a later time, I save mine. I appreciate the fact that the bottle is squeezable and does not feel hard or rigid so I can get a fair amount of water out quickly. A durable material seems to be used for the bottle and holder. A light rubber grip texture is on the black design of the bottle, which is nice if your hands are sweaty or it is raining outside. I hope this review helps you a bit.

I like the cage and bottle
5/5

There are two bottles in this case It's cool to have a cage. Rather than paint them black, I'd prefer them to be painted white. ADVANCED ***UPDATE*** )
One thing I forgot to mention in my original review was that the black areas of the bottle (not the cap) are made from a different material than the silver areas. This bottle has a silver and black part. Plastic is at the base and rubber on the outside. These parts prevent the bottle from sliding off your bike accidentally.
