Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how tall the 20oz bottle is?

When the valve is closed, the bottle stands nine inches tall, while when it is open, it stands nine and a half inches tall.

Do you know how easy it is to clean this? What part is this all about?

Yeah, I'd say so. I found it to be very easy to clean. If you want to clean the orange mouthpiece, you can remove Furthermore, it is dishwasher safe, or you can just wipe it with a sponge if you want to

Plastic appears to have been used to wrap the bottle. Does this look like it is packaged, or is it the original What do you mean by ?

Among the various layers of plastic, the "insulating membrane" can be seen as a foil-like material captured between the inner and outer layers. It is not possible to see through the inner plastic, but it is transparent. While the bag is very light, it is very effective at keeping the contents cool. It is the best cycling water bottle I have ever used and I have been cycling for more than

What type of valves do you sell Washing them is something I'm sure I can do. You sell valve replacements, but where can I buy them?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Polar Bottle offers replacement caps on its website. If you are having troubles with the valve itself, you can usually contact our support team for a replacement by filing a

The bottle is fantastic
5/5

When a lock is in place, it is very difficult to squeeze water out. Both this bottle and the Camelbak bottle with a lock have been purchased. It has been my experience that the Polar bottle is more convenient, but less secure, than my other bottles. I don't think so! Camelbak's "Podium" bottle locks better than this, in my opinion, than the bottle I bought at the same size because you need to turn it physically to lock it. That Camelbak bottle can be squeezed out without a whole lot of effort. By contrast, this Polar bottle can be pretty hard to squeeze when locked. I doubt I'll be able to stop the water leak before I ruin the bottle. The downside is that the lid is easily damaged if it is not properly screwed on. The bottle spills water out of the lid if you do not completely tighten it, because you must squeeze the bottle to get water out. As a matter of fact, I've done it several times already. All you have to do is have the vigor to tighten the lid gently all the way. It seems that my other bottles are a bit easier to screw on, this one becomes more firm as you screw. You just have to keep going until it is really on!.

Compared with Polar Bottle 1
5/5

This is a massive improvement over Polar Bottle 1. My First-Gen Polar Bottle's hard plastic valve/nozzle finally disintegrated after at least a decade of use. I purchased this one and hoped it would last at least that long. A number of improvements have been made in the new Breakaway. I am soft-hearted With a rubber nozzle with an internal pressure valve, you do not need to manually close the nozzle every time the bottle is in its carrier, as the nozzle will be pressurized automatically. Improvements have been made to the insulation as well. If you want, I can put a half-word We put about a dozen ice cubes in the bottle and then filled it with cool tap water, and after 2 hours in 90+ degree heat, there are still a few small ice chips left. This makes the design 25% longer than the one in the First Generation. In addition to the larger diameter of the current cap, filling the bottle and cleaning it has become more straightforward. Lastly, the valve is bright red, which is a significant improvement. The new pea is so much better than the old one These bottles feature the lurid soup green of the old design and add just the right amount of color to the otherwise subdued design. This is much better than some nondescript technical gray, black or white. It is nice to see that the designers paid attention to the details. It is great to see that Polar is continuing to improve their quality The products are of high quality.

A cycling bike is too tight to squeeze
3/5

I can't squeeze them at all! While I was trying to squeeze hard enough to get the water out with one hand, I couldn't get it The tube may be able to squeeze that hard in the hands of a big guy, but it wouldn't work on my bicycle.

I am disappointed
3/5

Bottles of this type do not impress me. It is true that they work a little better than a water bottle, but not by a lot. That it can still be open and not leak is a welcome feature of the nozzle. These bottles are narrow on the inside, which can be a downside. The problem with freezing them is that they turn into liquids very fast. After that, the effect quickly wears off and they are no longer cold. It takes 40 minutes for them to thaw and barely stay The next issue is when they are cold, the bottle is hard to squeeze since it is not flexible. Warm up and you'll find that they are extremely pliable, I'm happy to inform you that your water is also now warm.

This is a great bottle to use when cycling in hot weather
5/5

When I ride this time of year, I'm usually riding in temperatures above 85F in the morning and above 93F in the afternoon At the end of the day, it was 95F. The 24 oz bottles are filled with ice and a half bottle of a sports drink (commercial or homemade) is added to each one. Filtered water is used to top up the remaining Any number over 1 is considered My jersey pocket contains a third 20oz bottle with the same combination of water, ice, and sports drink for the next two hours. It's not unusual for ice to still be present after 1 hour It is still cool after two hours, and after five hours it is definitely not warm For me, it will take 5 hours. Here's a tip My own experience has been that taking a small sip out of each bottle during the ride seems to help prolong the life of the ice. Marked each bottle, drank each one fully before moving on to I observed that the ice melted more quickly in the unopened container(s), than I did when I drank a little from each first. I assume some endothermic process has been slowed.

There is no actual correlation between the size of a polar water bottle and the volume of liquid it holds
3/5

There is a mismatch between the size and the content. We ordered a "24 ounce" bottle, in hopes that it would hold that much liquid based on the older ones we had. There is no room to hold more than 20 ounces I also had an issue with the "20 ounce" bottle, which only held 16 ounces. Though I am not sure why the bottles are sized that way, I think you should order the size of bottle that corresponds with the amount of liquid the bottle contains to avoid confusion.

The Camelbak podium has been replaced with great success
5/5

Having my camelbak podium bottles fail on me multiple times, I decided to go with this. As with the previous design, this one has a silicone valve that releases water when pressure is applied. One of the main differences is that you have to push/pull the feature rather than twist it to open. As a result, if I lock my bike, I can pull water out of it with one hand and my teeth if it is locked. There is a finagle you have to do to twist it with both hands on the podium. It would be far more sanitary if I did not have to touch the valve as well.

This bottle holds 20% more water than the 2 hump brand, and it fits perfectly in the cage on my Trek FX3 bike's seat tube
5/5

To replace the two-hump brand on my downtube, I ordered the 24oz bottle. The bottle squeezes easily and I haven't noticed any problems at all holding on to it. My favorite feature of this water bottle is the spout. I ordered a spare because I liked it so much.
