I rode the Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Bike Trail and managed to cover 22 miles on it. It is a beautiful bicycle, and I would encourage you to consider buying it if you are so In looking at the high end units, they range from $900 to $8000, and that is just shocking! In my opinion, my Hiland score is comparable to that of a new student like me. We had to do some shifting practice like driving a car, familiarizing ourselves with the controls. It would be nice if there were a more comfortable seat. Consider getting a helmet and padded bike shorts before you ride. For assembly, we took the bike to a professional bike shop. This has been used to commute to school every day for six months now. It is quite easy to put together, but it requires quite a bit of tuning to make it sound good. The bike shop has the tools to do this for you, so that should be fine. In its original position, the plastic disc on the rear wheel of the chain protection was installed inverted. There was a part that had to be removed. If you get it set up right, it's a great bike for the price. This design is not too flashy, but has a great look to it. It works well to switch gears and break the disc. The bike is not as light as those road bikes, but it's still good.
