I normally wear a medium but purchased a large due to the size chart and should have gotten a medium. As a result, order the same size as you normally do.
No, I do not believe that is true. They're great for the cooler months, but they're not insulated.
It covers the entire area in padding. The pad is in the shape of a bike seat, so it's similar to regular padded bike bottoms.
yes. It has back pockets for small items, with the back inner pocket being the most important. It's only suitable for small items, but not for mobile phones.

I ordered a Medium (despite what the chart says) based on the response to a question I had about the strange sizing. It is quite tight, but because it is made of stretchy material, I can at least wear it; however, I am afraid that I will stretch it out of shape over time. I probably should have ordered a Large, not an XXXL (as recommended by my hips) or an XL (as recommended by my waist). br>While the pocket is small, it accommodates my iPhone SE (which is smaller than most iPhones). The international symbols are printed on the inside back (which means they'll wash off eventually), but there's no tag indicating the fabric content or washing instructions. br>In terms of padding, it's quite substantial - Too thick to be comfortable (and yes, I realize that walking in biking clothes is different, but this padding is TERRIBLE). Still, it's fine on the bike, and that'll be where I'll spend the majority of my time wearing this skort - And, because the skirt hides the padding, it doesn't LOOK odd, even if it is uncomfortable.
I was unsure about the fit because I'm 5' 7 1/2" and ordered a M. I'm a little heavier in the thighs but smaller in the waist. For a little more "snugging," I liked the inside drawstring. I'm glad the skirt is built in so I don't have to reach for something to cover my "bum" (or "baboon butt" as it's also known) when I get off the bike. so true). The padding is a little out of whack. The line between getting a "sits bone" and not wanting to walk around in a diaper is always blurry. These have a little padding in the crotch and then a lot of padding in the lower back. When they actually take a "test drive," I'll have more information. When stretched on the body, the fabric is thick enough to not "show through," but not thick enough for extremely cold weather. Will work fine for my needs (cold spring mornings and early fall), and I like that I won't be overexposed like a typical spandex shorts bike rider.
Nice cycling pants with a lot of padding at a great price. I originally ordered the large, but the seat padding was too firm, so I switched to the medium, which I am pleased with. When it comes to regular clothing, I wear a medium, but when it comes to bike and tri shorts, I usually order a large. 5'8" 145.
They were sturdy and comfortable, and I ordered a second pair because I liked them so much. The cushion pad inside provided such excellent support and protection that I was able to ride 10 miles further than usual and not feel guilty about it (if you get what I mean). Because I am on the larger side, the fit was excellent and very comfortable, which is crucial.
They're extremely comfortable and breathable, and they performed admirably during my recent 50-mile ride.
I bought a second pair of these well-padded capris with skirts because I liked them so much. The fabric is silky smooth, stretchy, and non-absorbent. infuriating I like the thicker padding to protect my older tissues; it may appear bulky to some, but it is hidden beneath the skirt, which is kinder to my rounder shape and provides a little extra modesty. I'm very pleased. The XL size I purchased, which is my standard bike shorts size, fits comfortably but not snugly. I don't have a lot of hips or butts. For waist/tummy, I prefer the XL.
They're actually fantastic! I thought they were diapers at first, but you have to really pull them up high to get them to feel like that. Your legs are kept in place by the fabric - They have a nice sheen to them as well. I've used these for mountain biking on trails as well as road biking, and they're fantastic; they don't snag, and they clean up beautifully! I'm 5'6" and started out weighing 131 pounds, so they were a little tight, but I liked the compression they provided - Although these aren't compression tights, I like the spandex used in their construction. They still fit perfectly now that I'm 121 pounds! I'm definitely going to buy another pair.
These pants have a great fit for me. Because I am 5'9" and a size 10, I ordered the large. On my legs, I didn't want them to be too tight. They're comfortable, and the attached skirt keeps them modest enough that I'd feel comfortable wearing them to the store after a ride. I prefer this for a ride because I don't want anything to be exposed. I'd order these again, and I'd recommend them to my cycling buddies.
