There's no doubt that these thermal cycling pants have one of the best feeling inner padding I have ever used. As far as leg compression goes, it was great and right around where I would find myself at the limit of my tightness tolerance. It is common for ankles to be loose at the bottom. Buyer beware six feet nine inches tall and 245 pounds. My tights themselves are fine. I am 6'9" and 245 lbs, so XXL was a perfect fit for me, but if you are smaller then that, I suggest getting an I ordered the black and blue tights the back tights are perfect, but the dye in the blue tights runs when you sweat, as you can see in the picture. A perfect pair of thermal bibs for the wintertime. This is like a totally fine pair of thermal bibs that does the job well. When I tested them in 35 degree weather, they were rather warm on the bike and a bit chilly when stopped, which is a nice combination. It turns out the legs are slightly longer than expected, but that's not a bad thing, and when you see orange at the bottom of the leg, it's actually on the inside, where the legs will roll In other words, I got the right size and I am a monster according to a size chart and a measuring tape. I can't imagine competing with them for the price. As far as the pad is concerned, it is pretty generic, which is like the shorts I have and shouldn't cause any problems at all. As there is enough give in the material to allow for variation while remaining supportive, I think there is no need to size up or down. I bought the blue ones, and they're a great color, with the orange flash at the ankle. The only thing I wish they offered was an unpadded version.

I like the fact that it keeps me warm, but is a little loose on the ankles. *Best bang for your buck. I am a 36 in the waist and I'm wearing a M. I think it would fit a 38 in waist.

It's a great bib tight. The size guide indicated that it fit well. The fabric is thick, so it's a nice option for the cold climate. Felt warm while wearing it on rides where it was around freezing and I wore it 4 times. The first pair I bought sparked my interest so much I bought a second.
