Questions & Answers

Despite being 6'1 215 and with a small beer belly, I am very athletic. Would you prefer a size xl or xl? I don't want something that is too tight at the waist, but I don't want something that is too loose. Thanks so much! ?

As a result of my height and weight, I was probably about the same size when I purchased it. When I raced a medium, it was fairly tight. With the large, there was some breathing room. If I were you, I would choose The pad was a real turnoff for me, so I returned it

How big is the back pocket? Can you fit a water bottle inside?

In the past, I've tried to fit one bottle in the back pocket, but I wouldn't recommend it because the pocket would be stretched Small items (a wallet, phone, gels, spare tubes, a co2 pump, and two or three co2 canisters would work) would be best to fit in it.

What does one wear this on? Does one put it on top of their shirt or against their skin?

Personal preference comes into play here. You may wear anything inside the bib if you feel comfortable doing so. The long sleeved shirt or tank top in the winter, or nothing at all during the summer

Could you please let me know if XXL sizes are ?

Thank you. Please note that the XXL black and blue sizes are due to become available shortly after It is important that you

We're still waiting for the verdict
3/5

During the past several years, I have been riding the road cycling on and off. It has always been Garneau or Castelli shorts and bibs for me. Since some of my kit is getting a little old, I wanted to try some of the less expensive brands of bibs from Amazon that are coming out now. There are no LG bibs currently available in my size at any retailer, so I was looking for alternatives with less cost. Therefore, I thought that I would give them a try. A 1 was the result of my work. A six-hour ride in them today gave me an idea of how they feel. The fit seems close to what I would expect. The only thing that stands out is the height of the suspenders, however. It feels tight on my shoulders (size US XL) because I'm not particularly tall (six feet one inch). Having said that, one thing about these lower priced shorts that I dislike (and this seems to be a trend with these shorts in general) While it may not be the thickest one I have tried in comparison to other inexpensive bike shorts/bibs, it still feels very thick in comparison to the top line brands that I normally wear. especially uncomfortable after getting off the bike. You feel like you have a wedge between your thighs. The rear of these shorts also isn't as wide as those on I need to pay attention to how I align myself when riding because a thick saddle or the type I use can make it difficult. It does actually have an effect on the way my sit bones feel if I miss. In addition, the finishing on the edge of the chamois was very rough. The cover fabric, elastic, and foam were not properly aligned when the material was cut, and the edges of the material had rough/pointy edges that were irritating after about 20 minutes of use. Even though the shorts could be trimmed down with a pair of scissors, I would rather not have to do surgery on a new pair. In addition to this, the tag is extremely large and is located on a side seam where the fabric is under tension and the tags are pressing against your obliques. It was okay for a short ride, but I imagine that it would become irritating on a longer ride. It took me only one ride to get used to them, and I do not anticipate them to last too much longer. Several of the stitches around the chamios have already come loose. I'm going to give them a few more rides. If anything changes in my review, I'll update it.

A solid pair of basic bibs for the price
4/5

With names like Pearl Izumi, Castelli, and Rapha, these bibs compete with their more expensive counterparts for less money. Thus far, they have only been used a couple of times and the fit is generally good, although the back sits a bit lower than the others. A medium at Baleaf fits me a little smaller than the other shorts I still It fits me well at 5'9" and 180 pounds with a 32" waist. I noticed a few loose threads upon opening the packaging, but snipped them without incident (at least so Even so, what you pay for remains the same In my opinion, my other, more expensive shorts seem to be better made, and feel better to wear. Mileage rides). For the price, this was a great deal.

It's impossible to tell whether they're older or newer versions of Baleaf products based on the gel pad placement
3/5

I've had these for 10 days and ridden in them twice. It may just be me, but I find the Gel pad to be too far forward in these and they are less comfortable than previous Baleaf bibs I have owned. I also own their winter thermal bibs and the Gel pad in all of them Amazon seems to have removed the Baleaf bibs from their website for a short time. It is possible that they have changed manufacturing companies recently and this explains the There is something wrong with the pad I find it in the wrong place and it is uncomfortably positioned for me. Although they don't fit into all other aspects, they are fine in all other ways. As a result, I'll have to invest my time and resources in finding another brand that offers the same value as my old ones.

Buying this was a good decision
4/5

This is me An unknown 50-year old multidisciplinary cyclist with a height of 5'8" and a weight of 155 pounds. It was out of curiosity that I purchased this bib. The difference between a 40 dollar bib and one that costs 150 dollars (my usual price range). It fits true to size but it is relaxed on the top (no crushing). I bought a medium in I found no loose threads or poorly sewn seams when I first opened the package. These are my go-to bikes for riding gravel A typical ride for him is 40 miles. There is a little more weight to the material than I am This is the biggest issue I have with them. They feel like they bunch up a little (upper leg, crotch), but I think that is because the material is heavier and it doesn't affect As opposed to Castilli bibs which have a single pad, the chamois of the Bibs has six areas of padding. The pad is a bit thicker but still feels fine for a 50 mile gravel ride at threshold and intensity (no chafing). The shoulder straps are soft, and the front cut is low enough so you can relieve yourself easily. The majority of my bibs last about two seasons (wash on gentle and hang to dry), so if these make it to that point, You can always try a second pair of shoes if you don't like them. The overall impression is that they're a great Please let me know if this helps*.
