I have no idea why this is, it may be because more cyclists order the small, in which case, more are made this size. I, however, am a large leg guy, so I ordered medium, and it fit just fine. That time, I did not pay $80. Make sure you exhaust the online retailer's section of Amazon before placing an order.

There is something odd about the fit of these knee warmers. 5 466 pounds is the weight of a woman who stands at 5'6".
