I've been riding bikes for decades and have a large collection of padded cycling shorts. I knew exactly what to do when my 8-year-old daughter complained of pain in her ole crotch area after a 4-mile bike ride. Yes, she confirmed that it had resolved the issue. These shorts are just as good as the name brand ones I have and even better than a couple of pairs of nashbar shorts I own. Quality is important, but it can be difficult to justify the cost of these items when you have growing children who outgrow them so quickly!.
These shorts aren't for me because I'm not the target demographic. I'm just a 5'2" petite girl who couldn't find a pair of cycling shorts with the chamois in the right place to save her life, and I knew I had to try something different after a few century gravel races and a 150 mile gravel race coming up. These shorts were purchased for long races in which chamois fit is critical. The chamois was much more comfortable for me than lady's cycling shorts (even XS). The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the chamois isn't as good as a woman's pair and doesn't breathe as well. But, after 148 miles of gravel and washboard roads in Nebraska, all I cared about was how my bum "felt," which was fine! These shorts are a little longer than what I normally wear. They'll be my go-to source of information. It was a great price for such a long ride/race!.
Get Med. Definitely has a lot of power. I weigh 102 pounds and stand 5'1" tall. In all women's clothing, I usually wear an XS. The large girl was quite large. I like to ride long distances. Over the course of the year, I ride long distances on a weekly basis. For years, I've been wearing a $120 LG women's small. I have a lot of them. LG is a brand I adore. I decided to give these a try because of the low price. For the girls, I really like the texture of this material. It has a softer feel to it. As a result, I've placed an order for the medication. On the mediums, I'll check the fit.
My daughter enjoys the absence of soreness on our thighs. Medium is the right size for a 9-year-old girl who weighs 82 pounds and stands 4 feet 7 inches tall. In girls, size 12 is recommended. The LG youth fitment chart, which is based on hip and waist measurements, is absurd. If you're unsure, call LG; they've come through for me on two occasions. The padding is excellent, as is the fit. My daughter enjoys the fact that she is no longer sore after our 15-mile rides.
They run large, at least in comparison to the chart, as others have stated, which is completely ridiculous, but my daughter loves them. She prefers these to the Aerotech shorts she previously wore because they have more padding and a higher quality feel. They had free returns at the time I bought them, so you could order several sizes to see which one fits best. We found that the smaller size worked best for us, but we decided to keep the larger size in case we needed it in the future.
This item's sizing was a little off. We ordered these for our ten-year-old daughter based on the size chart, but they were way too big for her; in fact, they fit me at 5'4 and 125 pounds. The padding was uncomfortable for both of us, so it was definitely not a junior size.
These are a big hit with my daughter. We ordered several sizes to ensure a proper fit. She ordered a medium and is a size 12 in the shoe. She's a petite 13-year-old who stands at 4'10" and weighs around 75 pounds. It's a perfect fit for her and she looks absolutely adorable in it. It inspires her to go for a longer ride on her bike.
My ten-year-old daughter should be wearing a large, according to the sizing chart. This isn't true! I'm 5'3" and think I'll be able to squeeze into the shorts!.
