The hat's brim is angled way too low. In fact, with the brim descending flat onto the forehead, there is almost no horizontal tilt to the brim at all. This gives the hat the appearance of a bucket hat rather than a visor. a winter hat with a brim It's more cute than silly. Aside from that, I assume the hat will keep your child's head warm if you can persuade him to wear it.
This has been an excellent hat for our picky two-year-old (who is the same size as our four-year-old). He usually despises wearing hats, but he seems to be enjoying this one. It's just long enough to cover his ears when we need it, and it keeps us warm during our mild winters.
This hat is perfect for my son! I purchased two.
This hat is getting a lot of compliments. This is an excellent match.
This was a replacement purchase for a hat I thought I'd misplaced, and my son had been wearing it since he was six months old. He cried for days after we lost the original. We were fortunate in that we were able to locate the misplaced hat; however, I have kept this replacement in case it is needed. He's now five years old, and the hat is still in excellent condition. I've never had a bad experience with Outdoor Research.
