Questions & Answers

Is it possible for a tall toddler to fit in this stroller? My older son, who will turn three in two months, is quite tall. The other child is a baby of seven months. ?

Yes. My five-year-old is a good example. He's on the smaller side, but he manages to make it. My three-year-old has no problem fitting in. My 9-month-old, on the other hand, fits perfectly.

Is there an infant adapter available for the infant car seat?

Only the X3 Single stroller is compatible with the car seat adapter (at least as of 8/2/16).

Is it possible to use this stroller with a car seat adapter?

I just called Baby Jogger, and they said they don't have any car seat adapters for the double summit X3-D. even the model from 2016- Only single adapters are available.

Is there anything that sets this apart from the 2014 or 2015 editions?

On July 12, 2016, I emailed babyjogger customer service with the same question, and they responded as follows: "On the 2014, the harness is only a 5 point, but on the 2015, it can be a 5 point or a 3 point for when the kids get older and need more space." In comparison to the 2015, the fabric has a higher UV protection rating.

BOB Stroller Strides Duallies vs Summit X3 Double vs City Mini GT Double vs Summit X3 Double vs City Mini GT Double vs Summit X3 Double vs City Mini GT Double vs Summit In my opinion, Summit X3 is the best option
4/5

As a Vine reviewer with two small children, I've had the pleasure of testing a BOB Stroller Strides Duallie, a 2016 BabyJogger City Mini GT Double, and a 2016 BabyJogger Summit X3 Double. br>br>To get right to the point, I gave the BOB Stroller Strides Duallie 3-out-of-five stars. We've had to lend a hand in a variety of situations. It took two parents some time to figure out how to fold up a Bugaboo. We've also used Graco and Chicco strollers, and their folding mechanisms aren't particularly appealing. br>br>The BOB requires two hands to squeeze and fold, while the quarter-fold requires only one. inch- a red circle- folding- The cable feels as if it will snap at any moment and has far too much slack to be useful. Overall, it's a bit of a pain to pick up and stuff into a trunk. br>br>Because the BabyJogger has a comfortable pull-on design. Even though the website claims it weighs 1 pound more than the BOB, the fold cloth strap with minimal slack for both seats is simply a better design and requires less effort to pick up and put in a car trunk. The BOB would have placed higher if it had been easier to grasp and lift. br>br>Wheels/Tiresbr>======================================================================== City Mini GTbr>Now, I'm no stroller engineer, but one thing I never thought to look into was whether or not the tires needed to be inflated. That isn't something you consider until you notice the tires are low for the first time. The tires on our BOB Duallie are inflatable. We've found them low on air on multiple occasions and have had to start carrying a small bicycle pump around with us. We leave it in the car, but it's yet another thing to remember. Furthermore, it renders those strollers unfit for use. If you need to bring a bicycle pump with you on vacation, this is the bag to bring. br>br>The City Mini GT comes with "ForeverAir" tires that don't need to be inflated. br>br>Inflatable tires come standard on the Summit X3: br>br>Joggingbr>============================================================= Please do not use the City Mini GT for jogging; it is not a jogging stroller, as stated in the manual and on the website, and it has no suspension. br>br>The Summit X3 is equipped with all-wheel drive. Despite the fact that the front wheel suspension is actually a torque-control system, Arm suspension, in a sense. The front wheel has two options: it can rotate or lock into place. br>br>The BOB has rear suspension, but I don't recall seeing anything on the front wheel, but I don't have it in front of me right now, so correct me if I'm wrong and I'll update my review. I'll point out that the front wheel can rotate or lock in place, whereas the wheel on other BOB jogging strollers is fixed, so make sure you test it out. br>br>Maneuverabilitybr>======================================================================== Way- It's difficult to choose a winner because all of these strollers feel light. Whether it has four wheels (City Mini GT) or three (BOB and Summit), it is a fun ride. They're all of good quality and easy to use. The City Mini GT is 29" wide, while the Summit X3 and BOB are 31" wide; if you think about it, the Summit X3 and BOB require an extra 1" of clearance on each side to maneuver as easily as the slightly narrower City Mini. br>br>Which one would *I* choose? I'd go with the BabyJogger Summit X3 Double because ========================================================================================= It has almost all of the advantages of the City Mini GT, plus it's safe to jog with (don't jog with a City Mini GT). It is the most popular due to the added benefit of jogging. rounded stroller, whether in a crowded supermarket, the mall, or jogging a mile to the park and back with the kids Yes, it is 5 pounds heavier than the City Mini GT, but after using both, the difference feels insignificant every time I put it in the trunk. Both strollers are lightweight and easy to maneuver. br>br>However, the ease with which I can get the Summit X3 in and out of the car was the most important factor in my decision. If the BOB hadn't been a 2-star, it would have been a 3-star. It would have done better if it had a step-by-step folding process and wasn't so bulky that it was difficult to grasp. The Summit X3 is a one-piece folding chair. The two carrying straps make it super easy to transport this step tug. It folds about 3" thicker than the City Mini GT, which is difficult to notice unless you have a very small car. br>br>If all other factors are equal, the Summit X3 must win in my opinion because it allows you to exercise and jog while using it. If you never plan on jogging with a stroller, the City Mini GT is the clear winner. It's super easy to fold, weighs 5 pounds less, folds 3 inches slimmer, and has the never-fail Never-Fail Never-Fail Never-Fail Never-Fail Never-Fail Never You'll never have to worry about flat "foreverAir" tires again. br>br>A Summit X3 with never-flat tires would be the PERFECT stroller now. It would be the simplest 5-minute fix if you had flat tires. Out there is a star stroller. Overall: br>br> br>=========================================================== stars due to the fact that, as a non-profit organization, It's a 5-star jogging stroller. Stroller with a star. br>br>The Summit X3 received a 4-star rating from me. Because of the inflatable tires, you'll need to be ready at all times. br>br>I awarded the BOB a three-star rating. stars because it feels ten pounds heavier than the Summit despite being one pound lighter! It is just bulkier and less convenient for quick folding and getting in and out of the car every time. br>br>However, I DO RECOMMEND that you test all of the demo models at the Big Box Stores and be sure to fold them up and try to put them on top of a small shelf to simulate what it will be like to put in your car trunk every time. br>br>P. BabyJogger has been reintroduced into the market. In comparison to our 2013 City Mini GT Single stroller and 2011 City Mini Regular Single stroller, we designed the belt harness in the 2016 models (City Mini GT and Summit X3). If you disliked the GT models' belt harness, fear not; they've fixed all of the issues; you don't need to grab five pieces to put it all together; the shoulder/lap belts stay together; and it's a simple one-piece installation. snap -click Only if you've worked with older-style printers will this make sense. model- years; If you haven't had any issues with the new design in your tests, you're already familiar with it.

When compared to the Bob FLEX Duallie, this is a fantastic double jogger option
5/5

When I needed a jogging stroller for my two children, I chose this one. 5 and 4 years old. When I don't have access to childcare, I take my 5-year-old for runs. I looked at a few different strollers before settling on this one and the Bob FLEX Duallie. I'll admit that I'm biased toward Baby Jogger products because we have and love our City Select, but I tried to be objective when making my decision. br>br>Positives:
- The canopy is among the best I've seen on any stroller, let alone a jogger - sturdy, pulls very far forward, windows, smooth movement when opening/closing (unlike the Bob canopies, which unfortunately feel cheap)br>- Between the seats, there is a center support bar. When dealing with a child on the larger end of the height/weight spectrum, the lack of center support in the Bob can cause the seats to sag toward each other, which you may not notice at first.
- fold in one step - It folds in one step, just like the City Select. Boom.
- Easily fits in my trunk (Nissan Rogue)br>- THE HANDLE BAR IS NOT MADE OF FOAM - I despise strollers with foam handle bars. For sweaty hands, in particular. This is a nice rubbery material that degrades and comes off over time, and kids pick at it. It's just not my favorite.
- pause in the action – Bob doesn't have one on his FLEX (although I believe it is available on the pro). On the multi-use trail, there are a lot of hills. This was a major plus for me because we use the same paths.
- a well-made structure When you fold and unfold it, push and lift it, and so on, you get a sense of quality. br>- storage basket with a lot of space - I usually use the sides to get to it. At the zoo, I can fit my bag or backpack, two small cooler bags, two children's towels, and a few other miscellaneous items. There is ample space.
- a seat that is more spacious The seat is deeper than the Bob FLEX (from knees to bum) - something that most people don't notice or think about. My older son found this much more comfortable than the Bob, because the Bob's seat depth was so shallow that he was practically sliding out of it.
- Instead of a specialized double console, a single stroller parent console can be used - Because of the center bar, I was able to use the single console from our City Select - It's not necessary for it to span the entire double width.
- reclining with ease My children are of an age where we don't use this feature very often, but the recline is simple to operate with one hand and reclines nearly flat.
- Straightens or swivels the front wheel - You can even lock it straight while driving with the side lever, rather than stopping and going around to the wheel, but this takes some practice. br>br>Negatives:
- a pause for your feet It works fine, and I have no problems with it because I use it with running shoes, but it isn't as smooth or easy to maneuver as the Bob. In flip flops, I'm sure it'd be difficult to take the break.
- Snack trays and belly bars - We're probably going to skip these because you have to remove the entire bar to get kids in and out of the stroller, rather than moving it to the side like on the City Select, and you have to buy the bar AND the trays separately, which adds a significant amount to the price. br>- For taller children, the canopy does not adjust up - This feature was available on the City Select, and I was disappointed that it was not available on this stroller.
- Tires that have been inflated While these may be "better" for a jogging stroller, I was spoiled by my City Select's foam-filled tires that never needed to be filled. I'll have to keep an eye on these tires to ensure that they don't deflate. Other ideas: br>br>
- weight - It's a jogging machine with two wheels. It's going to be a big one. Personally, I don't believe it is particularly heavy, but a friend of mine does. It costs a little more than the Bob FLEX Duallie, but I didn't notice because I was pushing both at the same time. br>- non- handlebar that can be adjusted - This doesn't bother me because I'm of average height, but it's something to think about if you're shorter or taller. br>- The Bob FLEX Duallie is "taller" than the Bob FLEX Duallie - I'm not sure how to explain it, but the stroller is slightly more upright than the Bob. This isn't an issue for me, but it appears that some people have issues with it tipping backwards. Even with both boys reclining, we haven't noticed this, but it's worth noting. I like how it looks, so I thought I'd bring it up. The only issue we have with it being a little taller is that it makes it difficult for my two-year-old son to get around. He is tall enough for a 5-year-old to get in and out of on his own. br>br>Things to Keep in Mind: My 4. The 5-year-old is 39 pounds and 43 inches tall, so there's enough room for him - When he is sitting perfectly upright, his head brushes against the top of the canopy when closed, but this isn't an issue because he usually slouches down. In the Bob, his head appeared to be a little more squished. My younger child is two years old. 5 years old, 26 pounds, and 35 inches tall. He clearly fits, and there is plenty of room for him. Fortunately, there have been no incidents of footwell kicking yet: )br>br>Overall, I found the Baby Jogger 2016 Summit x3 Double to be a better fit for my needs after trying out both the Bob FLEX Duallie and the Baby Jogger 2016 Summit x3 Double.

The one-year warranty offered by the company is not honored
3/5

I bought this stroller a little over a year ago and have run with it a lot, including training for a half marathon with my two-year-old. It was great until about a month before the one-year warranty expired, when both the front wheel and the parking brake started shaking when used (even walking) unless the front wheel was locked. When I looked at the brake, it was just a piece of red plastic that had bent, so I called baby jogger customer service, who promised me over the phone that they would send me a new frame as soon as I sent them an email with photos and or video of the issues, as well as proof of purchase, and that this would solve the problem. After many emails back and forth (they couldn't read my emails, couldn't open attachments, etc. ), they finally said they saw the problem and asked if I wanted to send them my frame so they could send me a new one. I replied yes and asked if we could speed up the process because I use the stroller on a daily basis and it would be inconvenient for me to be without it while waiting for the new one. There has been no reply. I emailed them twice and received no reply. It's been months of back-and-forth, with each email requiring a week of waiting for a response. This is a terrible company to deal with; they should honor their warranty and correct the problems that have arisen, but they are ignoring me and refusing to do so. Instead of purchasing, consider purchasing from a more reputable company. It was a waste of money. I should've gotten a Thule or a bob instead.
