Questions & Answers
You'll have to ask my daughter about it because it was purchased for her.
It's not black or white; it's grey. We ordered the jet color and had to return it because it wasn't black like the onyx. These days, it appears that onyx/black is difficult to come by. Instead, I used OfferUp to locate one that was in good condition. If you want to buy them directly from the manufacturer, they aren't even available.
This seat does not, however, fold in half.
The extra brackets must be purchased separately. Normally, they cost around $20.

I'm not sure why a large corporation like this doesn't continue to use a true black color. I bought jet because it was the closest thing they had, which is a charcoal color, and I didn't have any other options; for the price, it's a shame it doesn't match, and it makes my OCD go crazy every time I look at it. The entire reason I purchased this stroller was so that I could expand it in the future, and when that time came, you removed the most basic color. I also preferred the original seat's buckles and found them to be much more convenient.
I like the stroller's brand and the fact that we can easily convert it from a single to a double seater! br>br>The seat is plush and comfortable, and it doesn't get too hot in the summer, which was a major consideration for us. br>br>My toddler dragged the seat for about 6 feet on the concrete, which scuffed the fabric and tore a little, so I definitely don't recommend it! After several months of use, our other seat shows no signs of wear or tear. With each use, it becomes softer, and we adore the harness! When you're in a hurry, it's a pain to buckle, but it's a breeze to transfer a sleeping child from stroller to car seat or bed!.
The second seat is fantastic. The double city select baby jogger (not a jogging stroller) works well with it. It's just inconvenient that an extra seat costs nearly $200. Easy to set up, and I really like the functionality.
I've had two free baby jogger city select double strollers in my life. I've been fortunate in that I've been able to sell them for a profit and then resell them. They were purchased secondhand (new in box). I had the original, which I sold for a Lux, and now we have it back. We didn't care for the LUX, and I really wish these original seats could fold in half like the LUX's, but that is, in my opinion, the LUX's only advantage. The color of this seat appeals to me, as does the ease with which it can be installed. The baby jogger is HEAVY, but I keep going back to it because it's so versatile and durable for trips to Disney, Universal, Legoland, and the zoo, among other places.
I really like the City Select stroller, but I bought an extra seat to turn it into a double stroller, and it was fine. The only complaint I have is that the clips keep falling apart, which has become a nuisance because I have a 10-month-old who does not like to sit still.
We could see that someone had already put part of it together because it was an open box in perfect condition. The color "jet" was supposed to be black, but it turned out to be a dark grey instead. It goes well with the red and black seat next to it. The ability for the twins to sit facing forward is a huge plus.
This is a lot of money for a chair insert, but given that it's the only option that works with the double stroller, I suppose city select can charge whatever they want.
This product is excellent and exactly what we required, but it has one significant flaw: the seat is not foldable. It's difficult to take it on an airplane or in a car because the seat does not fold in half like the one that came with the stroller. We won't be able to sit in this seat because of the Def.
