These are typically 1/8 x 1/2 @ 100 links, but if you need something larger, 3/16 x 1/2 is available, which works on a single speed but is thicker and stronger, so it won't stretch as quickly.
This is a single-speed chain that is only compatible with single-speed freewheels and fixed-geared cogs. A 7-speed chain is required for 21-speed bikes.
Yup. If you're going to use this chain on a singlespeed bike with a derailleur, go for a "skinnier" chain. Otherwise, the chain is in good condition. Yes, there is a master link that allows you to install, uninstall, and reinstall.

I used this hollow pin chain on a 1970's 27" ten speed bike that had been converted to a single speed bike because I liked how light it was compared to track/BMX chains and how cool the gold coating was. This chain is popular among the urban track bike/fixed gear scene, and those riders put a lot more strain on their machines than I will ever put on mine - So, if they like it, I like it. The color adds a subtle hint of bling to the look. I was told that it would stretch out over time, but I'm fine with that. I've put a few hundred miles on this new chain and haven't noticed any slack or stretch. I'm going to buy more.
Absolutely horrible, they claim this is a quiet lightweight chain, but it is by far the noisiest chain I have ever owned. It creaks when you have to actually apply pressure, and it is only light pending, but it is certainly quiet. Anything else is just a series of creaks. If I had the opportunity to return, I would. For the price, I believe it is a good chain. The color is the only thing I like about it.
For fixed gear builds, this is one of the best chains I've used. It is both light and strong. It does not include a half-priced half-priced half-priced half- link, so if fine-tuning wheel position/setback is a top priority, invest in some half-size wheels. a list of links The fast-paced environment The release link is well-designed and well-built.
not bad.
For the past three years, I've been the proud owner of one. For the first year, I used it on a dirt jumper, then switched it to my fixed gear for the last two. It can withstand a lot of abuse and still look great. On both bikes, I've smashed the chainrings a few times. I do a lot of skid stops and other fixed gear tricks, and it holds up well under pressure. br>br>It's probably stretched after three years, so I ordered a replacement.
So far, everything has gone well! It's nice and quiet, and it's making my head spin. The hollow mushroomed pins make it a little difficult to remove the links, but aside from that, it's a beautiful and light chain.
Installed on my custom Black Fixie and it works perfectly and, more importantly, it looks fantastic. I use this as my commute to campus, and I've never had any issues with KMC chains. They aren't the best in the business. the- They're not the most glamorous, but they're trustworthy.
