Besides chrome, painted metal, painted plastic, and glass, I've used it on other surfaces as well. My motorcycles and 1955 Bel Air have carbon fiber, but I do not have any carbon fiber motorcycles. Since I am not an expert in carbon fiber, I cannot say for sure whether it will I'm blown away by this stuff.
However, I don't think it will work if the metal is actually stained. While it is a great cleaner for a lot of things, this doesn't work for dried on bugs, etc. Chemical cleaners are not abrasive more so than abrasive cleaners.
The paint fairings look very good when it is applied.

You have to do the same amount of work as you would if you were Heat or exposure to direct sunlight is not allowed on the bike.
