The product I use to clean my wheels does not come into contact with my brake rotors or disks, so I avoid spraying any product directly in them. Cleaning brake rotors with a cotton cloth soaked in isopropylic alcohol is a good idea.
A chain will not be cleansed of dirt and lubricant using this method.

It was easy to wash the bike with the bike wash, you just spray it all over, scrub it around, and then rinse everything off. According to the manufacturer, you can use it anywhere on your bike, but I made sure I kept it away from my wrapped handlebars and gear shifter just to be safe. My chain, frame, and fenders were the dirtiest components on my bike, so I concentrated on them first.
