But I can tell you that I have a larger bike and my wife's bike is average size, so if you're going to put two adult bikes under this cover, get the largest size they have, which I believe is X-large. This cover, on the other hand, I really like. It can easily fit two adult bicycles on top of it. Both of the Treks. There are drawstrings on it to keep it in place. It's a strap that goes beneath the dress. I'm traveling in a travel trailer with my bicycles in the back. I don't use it while traveling, but I do once we arrive at our destination. It comes with a carrying case, and you can actually hold the cover up and put it back in. Have you been able to stuff it back into its carrying case? We'll see how it holds up over time, but for now, I couldn't be happier.
I recently purchased a bicycle and must store it in my backyard, so I decided to give that well-reviewed, reasonably priced cover a try. It arrived quickly, was in good condition, and came with a convenient storage bag. I've had the cover on for three days now, and it's rained on two of those days. Lo! This cover is not water-resistant. Water resistance is also a generous term. 'Water averse,' perhaps? It hasn't stopped my bike from getting wet in any case. In addition, a small hole has appeared in the top of the cover. As a result, it isn't water resistant or long-lasting.
It also seems to be a lot more long-lasting.
We have a travel trailer with a bike rack attached to the back. For the past two years, we've been looking for a suitable cover, but nothing has proven to be successful. I came across this and thought it might be a good fit for us. We tried it out last weekend, and it fit perfectly over our two bikes, with the strap fastening it securely. We secured the wheels with bungie cords, and it remained in place for the two-hundred-mile drive to our destination. It is well constructed and appears to be weather resistant. It has two large plastic grommets on one end that are ideal for bungie cord attachment. I just wish they had them on both ends of the line! Aside from that, it's a well-made and sturdy product.
Granted, the underside of my bike is exposed (even after tightening the middle buckle), but I'll be wrapping a cheaper cover from underneath to the top of my bike and then putting this cover over it all when I take it outside. br>br>I rarely write product reviews, but I'm so pleased with the size/fit, look (I'm a sucker for the ol' olive drab), and overall quality of this cover. I checked all of the seams, drawstrings, and the top heat shield for outdoor protection and found that everything was in good working order. The true test will be how well it holds up year after year while being exposed to the Florida sun and frequently hammered by our torrential downpours. I see in the product description that this YardStash XXL cover has a two-year warranty. I'll certainly hold them to that one-year guarantee!.
When covering the handlebars of two opposing bikes, however, be cautious of tears. The Yardstash cover appears to be well-made, with reinforced sewn backing materials covering the bikes' tops - However, it is tapered from the handlebars to the seat and back wheels, with the handlebars being wider and the seat and back wheels being narrower. This, however, prevents you from storing the bikes with one handlebar at opposite ends from the other (when two or more are covered), because one of them will not have its handlebars covered by the thicker material and will be vulnerable to puncturing through the thinner nylon material. This is how it went down for me. To prevent future punctures on my newly replaced cover, I'll likely lay a heavy material on top (across both handlebars). It would be fantastic if they made this underlayment protective layer in a more rectangular shape. Nonetheless, the cover appeals to me. Because of the proclivity for tearing, I gave it three stars, but the cover adequately covers our two bikes.
This was my second attempt at a brand. Neither of them fared well in the test of time. Even as an XXL, they only had one really wide side, so they didn't like the bikes facing front to back, which made both ends wide; in any case, by the second or third camping trip, it was pretty much ripped up. At Camping World, we purchased our third and final cover (which is now in its second year). I'm not sure what brand it is, but it's gray and has clear plastic sections where the tires are. If you're looking for a way to cover your bikes on your travel trailer, don't waste your money on YardStash. Perhaps Yardstash and others will see the need to create covers for that purpose as well, but this isn't it.
During the summer and winter months, I use this cover to keep my recumbent trike and ridekick trailer safe. I keep them in our greenhouse, which receives a lot of UV light and, as a result, is prone to deterioration if not properly protected.
