I'd say yes! The shirt was worn while I was baking in Southwest Florida, and my tan was similar to a New Englander's in February. While fishing, I wore it to the beach and while on the beach during the midday hours. Bright sun and reflections from the water abound here. The clothing did a wonderful job of protecting my skin even though I was not too hot wearing it

My favorite part of this shirt is the comfort and the material, as it's It is really light. With a light breeze, it will be great out on the water. I love how beautiful this color is. My height and weight are 5'2" and 125 lbs and I selected a medium because I prefer a looser fit, but I think the small would also work for me. It has a little floppy hood, but I like that I can wear my hair back in a bun while still being covered when I am wearing it over my head. I plan to order more of these in other colors as well.
As long as it's thin, I don't mind. That's what I like when I want to cover up a little. However, I was not impressed with it due to the material's clinginess. The look was like wearing a thin tank top it just didn't flatter me as I'm close to 60, but not overweight. You could get away with it if you are younger and have a tighter bod!.
A brief update My email to this company was answered quickly. I inquired about the UPF certification since it wasn't on the product. They replied with the testing documents and apologized for the confusion. I changed my rating to 5 stars because the jacket was beautiful and the company is great. It is noted on the item description that this item is certified UPF50, however, there is no indication on the item or its tag that it has any sort of UPF rating of any kind. I am returning this because I am unable to trust that it will provide any sort of sun protection.
This is an example of the same manufacturer. Because the pockets on the Baleaf are not zippered, as on the Libin brand, I returned it.
The fabric is thin. It will be great for summertime. I deliberately bought it for that purpose Wear everyday over work scrubs for the hospital. Takes up a lot of room in the armpit. The zip top can be black or white as long as it's not too short. In doing so, I'll be able to avoid getting more freckles while at work, and not feel guilty about getting blasted by the sun while going to and It's an exciting day for this Skin cancer is not something anyone wants. The search for a good white top has taken hours, since the sun's rays are harsh during the summer months. This is awesome! Thanks for sharing.
The large is what I normally wear, so I ordered that. I found this shirt to be very tight even when zipped. Having liked the material, I would recommend it for a sunny day when you are just looking for a little sun protection. There is still a problem with the hood being too big and loose.
This hat keeps you cool and keeps the sun out at the same time! With a deep hood, the sun stays off my face and the sleeves keep my arms covered. It is lightweight, so I won't overheat when I wear With this jacket, there will be no more sunburns! This jacket will give you full protection from the sun. As well as the color, it is beautiful.
The fit and material are as expected, and they are light and Many of the baleaf shirts I own are good quality and have shown no signs of wear and tear after On sunny days I reach for these shirts because of their UPF 50 rating. I found that the other shirts from Baleaf have a much better stitching while the tab around the thumbhole is not separated I really like everything else about this shirt and I am very disappointed in the material around the thumb hole. When I wear this shirt, I see how quickly it stretches apart over my hand when I put it on and take it off. This shirt will rip in this area due to the heavy use it will receive, so I am considering returning it. This is again a huge disappointment since I love all the bayleaf shirts I own. Their stitching on this one should have been as good as on The only negative is the defect. If it was not for that, I'd give it a 5 star.
