It is not possible to tell whether a mirror coating affects color perception. In essence, it is merely cosmetic and functions to make the lens darker than the grey base lens to which it is applied.
Those of mine are the color of a beer bottle, amber or brown.

Review of the situation [I am editing this review on 19 January 2012]
I bought these sunglasses on 1 November 2011. I have worn them regularly ever since. The lenses are good and the frames are sturdy. It's a pleasure to work with them. The prices listed on many websites on the internet seem reasonable. if I paid $49 for these, I would still be satisfied In any case, I bought them from Amazon for much less. I was wearing my sunglasses when I looked for them in a panic in two cases when I already had them on. I really like the way the sunglasses fit my face, and the lenses are crystal clear. A few PROS This lens has a polarized polycarbonate coating. The Injected Grilamid Frames are excellent for reducing glare. Although I have no idea what it is, the frames are very sturdy and my Megol Nose Pads are charming. A slim line, curved design with small pads that retain their performance when wet. A stylish look with small pads that hold even better when wet. The lenses block very little light.
* The lens construction is tough so they do not fall out.
* This is definitely worth the purchase price.
*CONS Occasionally, I get fogging after I cycle hard for a certain period of time and When I ride my bike above 20 mph, I notice a stream of air coming in under the lenses This may not be good for motorcycle riders. I'd like to offer a long To begin, I'll tell you what I'm comparing in this review, so you can understand what I'm talking about. When I bought the Sunclouds, I wore a pair of $125 Serengeti Napoli grey-based shoes before Sunglasses that are tinted with polarized filters During that time, I worked in a job that required me to drive for nearly eight hours a day. The Serengeti sunglasses served me well in that situation. As a competitive skier, I once owned $125 Vaurnets and wore them for years until I was forced to part with I found them to be excellent sunglasses both on and off the mountain in all conditions. I thought the Serengeti lenses were great, but I was disappointed in the quality of the frames. There was a tendency for the nose pads to fall off. Fastening lenses to the frames was accomplished by insignificant screws that tended to back out of their grooves, thus leaving the expensive lenses to fall to the ground. As a result, the right lens kept falling out and I had to put it back in and tighten the screw every time. A lens developed a crack through the middle of one of these mishaps, which didn't cause it to split in half.
Even so, I continued using the Serengetis after my left lens fell out on a bike path in Los Angeles and was severely scratched . After a while, I was just so frustrated I crushed the glasses between my frustrated palms and tossed them away. After I had purchased those Suncloud Pursuit sunglasses, I saw that they had mirrored-style lenses. The lenses are blue. My cycling tours of the westside of Los Angeles have taken place over a period of nearly three months now, and I have never been disappointed with The polarizing effect of the lenses is exceptional, the lenses are clear and distortion-free, the lenses are comfortable on my face, and the degree of their light-blocking properties is remarkable Just what I need in terms of reduction. Considering that, three years ago, I paid $125 for Serengeti sunglasses that fell apart, and years before that, I paid the same amount for Vaurnet sunglasses that served me well until I lost them, I make the following Good sunglasses. Have a look at these. Though I wouldn't say that they are as good as Vaurnets, they are sure a lot better than the Serengetis, and they cost about one-tenth as much. Four times as much do these cost. * One reviewer said they fit her head well, despite being They fit well even though I have a large head.
However, after receiving them, the glasses do not appear to be in good condition. There seem to be others with the same problem, so you'd think that the company would get them placed.
I am just incredibly hard on sunglasses, so I don't expect it to last as long as it should, but the quality and durability are excellent. There is no substitute for polarized lenses and with Suncloud you can get them at a reasonable price. The fit of these sunglasses is a bit on the small side, but that is to be expected since I have a giant melon (my poor mom).
He had only worn these glasses three times. Although we usually love Suncloud brand glasses (have owned the previous ones for years without a single problem), the adhesive quality on these is sub-par. The fact that a brand new pair of sunglasses broke on a hot and sunny day in South Carolina is pretty frustrating. It's hard to tell if we will stay with the Suncloud brand. I could understand it happening with a pair I bought at Walmart, but I expected more for $50.
The quality is good and they stay on perfectly, making them comfortable and practical to use when I am fly fishing, rock climbing, or hiking.
There is a medium size difference between my head and that of a man. I really like how these fit me. There is no rubbing of my eyelashes against the lenses, and they fit really close to my eyes, preventing any glare. These polarized sunglasses are what I bought for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. They recommend them because you must wear them to see well in the It is nice to see outside even though it can be very bright, but it does not This is a really excellent pair of sunglasses that I have worn religiously for almost 36 years. The only time I've owned them is for a week, so I can't comment as to how long they will last. When I return from Maui, I'll update you.
There are no major issues with these. As a result, some areas of the lens were brighter or darker than others, as the polarization film was inconsistent.
My experience with these shades has been good so far. My eyes are not visible through them since they fit well and have a mirror effect (though they do not have a 100% mirror effect). While they are quite darker, they are very clear as well. You won't have a problem with them on those overcast days when you still have to squint. They tend to fog near the top immediately after I put them on, but that is the only problem I have observed. I think it may take between 15 and 30 minutes The process of cleaning and reinstalling takes 20 minutes Fogging up must be stopped before they begin to position. It's difficult to really know whether the problem is due to user error or a fault with the fit.
