As you can imagine, I had a horrible time setting There is no instruction manual that came with it and I couldn't find one on the web. After reading through other questions on amazon watches related to the one I purchased, I figured out how to get it out of military time. There needs to be an A or P on the left hand side of the time (to show am or pm respectively) to denote you have left military time and are in standard time. I can't remember how I did that, so I'll just play around with it a bit then. It is now set up properly and should work just fine.
