Although these pants are great for climbing, they are not suitable for outdoor use. It is wonderfully comfortable, fits well, is stretchy, and is water-repellant as well as The pants are definitely yours if you enjoy going to the climbing gym and looking good while you're doing it, but when trying them out at work, I can already see the signs of wear (poly fabric and fading), especially around the knees and inner thighs. Fair or not, I was climbing trees and not rocks, so maybe they would perform better with smoother rock faces. It is okay to wear a second pair on a rainy day as they are not too heavy for climbing. However, I would order a second pair just to wear when hiking or biking around town. It was a 70 degree day in June and I wore them to snowshoe on Mount Hood and they were the perfect pants.

This pair of pants is nice, but they're unraveling in the seam. Rock climbing, trail running, mountaineering (in dry weather only) hiking, evening biking and mountain biking for a century were all done in these pants. These pants possess an incredible amount of flexibility and durability when compared to other pants (with the exception of some of the seams). They are slim cut so if you have muscle thighs, you might want to avoid these. It's hard to say I love these pants, but they're just "pretty good" for playing in the mountains and desert. I don't recommend them if you're going into cold climates or climbing. These pants and pockets are supposed to be quick drying, but they retain moisture for a much longer time than other "adventure" pants of the same price point.

A good pair of pants is a quality pair of Those in mud color are already in my possession. My only complaint is that I ordered these in charcoal and received the regular Stretch Zion pants (not the slimmer). I was disappointed they referred to these as "Stretch Zion Straight" when in fact they are not Straight styles. This pair of pants is rated 1 star because it is still good however, there are no advertisements on these pants.
