Questions & Answers

Are you aware of the difference between the adventure hat and the ultra adventure hat besides that the ultra adventure hat has a ?

Hey Neil, thanks for reaching out! We designed a new version of our Adventure Hat, the Ultra. The hat is made from a unique polyester dobby material that is breathable and very soft, and its brim folds into the crown. In addition, the Ultra cap has a curvier brim and a shorter neck cape.

Though the product indicates that it is a hat for women, is it really unisex in size?

Hats like this can be worn by men and women alike. The following are the sizes as shown on the Sunday Afternoons' website Large fits heads 21 3/4 inches to 23 inches Medium fits heads 22 inches to 28 inches Heads 22 3/4 inches high to 24 1/4 inches tall can fit in large. (To calculate your head circumference, measure the area just above your ears and eyebrows. You can convert your circumference into inches by multiplying 14 by your height. As a result, if you have a hat size of 7 1/4, your circumference would be 22 inches. The diagonal measurement is 75 centimeters.

Would it be possible for you to fold up the flap?

Thanks for visiting! In the ultra-modern age Like some of our other hats (like the Adventure and the Derma Safe), the Adventure does not have Velcro on the back to hold the flap up.

Do I need to buy a large if I wear a size 7 7/8 of the new era fitted?

Neither my husband nor I wear that size hat, but it's so big that we really can't wear it. As a result, the hat could be adjusted to his head

I have to give you the best hat
5/5

Every single time. Having hats on is not something I like. Having a fiery hatred for hats is my downfall. As far as I am concerned, hats are this horrific abomination which we have to endure if we are not to burn our noses and scalps. I did a lot of browsing online looking for a good comfortable lightweight hat to protect me from the sun in Washington DC over a weekend (of course, it rained) and over a 6 hour walking tour of Boston over the Ingress weekend (it didn't rain). BETTER THAN ANYTHING. That's no good. A single time. Ok, I know I looked like a dork, but it's okay. Due to its flap down the back and the brim, my husband thought I looked like I was wearing a baby bonnet when he saw me wearing it. It will not stop you from reaching your goal. I'm amazed at how light this thing is. When wearing it, you don't even feel like you have a hat on. You never have to worry about the brim getting in the way of your glasses if you wear them. The importance of this was astounding! In addition to keeping my head cool, the mesh on top of the hat did the same. There were no sunburns on my body. Even in the rain, my glasses remained dry, the frame was in perfect shape, and next day, it was ready for use. I had never worn a hat as amazing as this. You will have hat hair afterwards thanks to your hat.

Sadly, yes. I don't want you to let that deter you from purchasing Hats of every kind would love to be this hat.

A hat that will protect you from the sun like no other
5/5

Growing up in those days, when you had to rub butter on your head, face, neck and roast like a turkey to get that good burn and tan for summer, that is if you put anything on your skin at all, I have a fair amount of sun damaged skin.
I decide to go for a 5 Every day I walk a mile and, for the past few years, have worn a sun hat designed for anglers, since I spend much of the day walking in the sun. This hat was great when it was new, but after all the wear and repeated washings, it started falling apart and badly needed to be replaced. It was sad to discover, when I went back to the manufacturer, that the hat was no longer being produced. There are lots of sun hat reviews and opinions on the Internet, and I asked people at the parks I walk in what they like for sun hats, and I read a lot of reviews and users' It seems to me that I found what is probably the best hat when I came across this Sunday Afternoon Ultra-Loose Hat Embrace the adventure with a In order not to waste time when deciding what hat to wear, I decided to just It's far better as far as sun protection goes than the hat that it replaces, as the brim on this hat shades your face more effectively on both the sides and the top. It's nice to have the vents to help keep your head cool, or as cool as it can be when it's 95 degrees outside When you walk in the sun in 50 degrees, you're sweating profusely. There's a possibility that the neck flap can lift up in a breeze, but I don't find this to be a problem. There are times when it rises, but then drops back down again. I thought I must look pretty dorky at first when I started wearing this on my daily walks, but being a dork is better than having skin cancer, isn't it? Whenever I passed people and said good morning or good afternoon, they always smiled and responded however, I wasn't sure if they were smiling at me or if they were trying not to laugh at my dorkyness. Wow! That's all I have to say. Only a week later, as I was walking daily, I found that other people were also wearing this same Sunday Afternoons Ultra-light T-shirt Embrace the adventure with this I never though I would ever be perceived as a fashion trend-setter who would have thought those hat stalkers would surround me as well? I love this hat, that's the bottom line. I like it because it is comfortable, it does its job, it can be folded for packing, and if something were to happen to this one, I would not hesitate to buy another one. for this superb Sunday Afternoon program.

Stylish hat with neat features, but it does not provide the same amount of shade as the larger model
4/5

Because I was recently diagnosed with Lupus, I've purchased a wide variety of sun protection hats that offer UPF 50 to wear at all times. My sister and I purchased this hat as well as its larger cousin, the Sunday Afternoon Adventure hat, and have been trying both out in sunny conditions. In my review, I found the Ultra Adventure hat to be a strong product because it was foldable, had vents rated UFP 50, had a built-in sunglass holder, and had a smaller brim. This will give you a wider field of view. As for the fabric, it is a little lighter weight than the Adventure Hat and is a little less noisy when it moves. But it lets more sun shine on your face and that is something I don't like about the hat. In order to protect myself from the sun, I need to wear as much sunscreen As well as being cooler to wear than the larger Adventure Hat, it's less bulky and cooler to store. It is possible that the vents have UPF 50 coverage due to their lining. Likewise, even though they are both size medium, I find the Ultra Adventure Hat to be bigger on me (circumference) when compared to the regular Adventure Hat. This means that the shoes do not fit well and will still be too large when adjusted to the smallest size. The hat is nice, but I prefer the regular Adventure Hat because it provides more shade, feels cooler on my head, Both hats are very good in terms of quality, but according to your needs you might prefer one over the other.

Unlike a Sport Hat, this style has a smaller brim
5/5

My purchase included this style, as well as the hat style I purchased earlier. The brim on this style of hat, while nice, was narrower (smaller) than the brim of a Sport Hat, so the lower face/chin was exposed to the sun (even if tilting the It will be returned and another hat will be ordered. It doesn't matter which hat you choose, they are all good. You can always choose according to your preferences.

You no longer have to worry about sunburned faces
5/5

It's ridiculous how stupid this hat looks. A great deal of positive attention is attracted to it in the public, and it also works extremely There's no hedging, no padding, no padding anywhere. The material is exceptionally lightweight, water resistant for a while, but if you dip it, it does get Having to straighten out the brim of the hat just a little bit is all that I need to do to cram it in my backpack. It is my go-to thing for rafting, hiking, outdoor events lasting all day (formula D), camping, and anything else outdoors that you would think you would get thirsty. I want the neck bit to be approximately three inches longer, and I want the brim to be made of a material that won't bend when crammed into a bag. That hat will last me a long time and I hope I don't lose it or wear it out. ****Edit for style This is what I lost.
