Since I bought both gloves, I planned to try both out before making my final choice. Due to the cold winters in the northeast, my hands get very cold very quickly, so I wanted gloves that will keep my hands warm while I really liked these gloves right off the bat. They are $13, a bright fun color, and the tabs that tighten them allow you to pull them off even when you already have gloves on. They are also less bulky in the palm and fingers, allowing for easier handling. I am sure this is a win. As we still do not have snow, I decided to do a side by side comparison, putting my hand into both gloves while it was submerged in ice water (1 pound of ice and 4 cups of cold water). The bowls were quite cozy, though I was surprised how early my thumb was allowed to feel an ice cube in the bowl that was right under it. I set a timer for 10 minutes, and did the same with my other hands, submerged up to my wrist. If I held a snowball, I am not sure what it would feel like. Having worn these gloves for approximately 3 minutes, I could really tell that they didn't keep my hands as warm as the Carhartt gloves. It took about 5 minutes before the thumb of this glove became wet and water began to accumulate within it. As soon as I realized Carhartt was going to win, I gave up my experiment. Having said that, shoveling doesn't mimic submerging your hands in water, so I believe these gloves would be an excellent choice for protection from the elements, especially given the price! Really a solid entry, I recommend it!.

I like the fit since they don't pinch or bulk up. As you can see in the picture, they look pretty good. On the palm side, there is a good grip. These are also I feel pretty warm when I wear them. The size chart helps me gauge my hand size because my hands are small. The size medium is for men with a large frame. It takes small hands to hold these things. As well, I can't run when it's 20 degrees or a couple of teens because there are no gloves that can keep my hands warm. In my opinion, this glove is no better or worse than any good thinsulate glove, and just does the job, with no noticeable difference in warmth over a standard thinsulate glove. One thing I really love about the glove is the way the palm and fingers are in contact with the glove. It has an excellent gripping surface because it is made of a material that has a great grip. There's kind of a stickiness to it. When driving, you need to be aware of this. A glove like this is really tested when you go outside at 25°F or 15°F and you have to start and drive your car. How did you feel with your hands holding the steering wheel at this temperature? Grasping anything is also an option. I find that this clove is superior to others in this regard. This glove will be a great help to me as I run every day.

A temperature of 30°F is indicated by the description. As of this writing, it has gotten as low as 5°F here in Minnesota, and I have kept my hands warm enough when shoveling snow, but I'm sure if I weren't moving my hands would be colder. (I picked up the black one). They look great, the branding isn't overpowering. This thumbhole is a little off-centered, so not sure if it is a dudder or if it is the same with all of them.

It is exceptionally thick and soft inside. If you aren't a fan of bulky gloves, then this might not be the most ideal option for you. However, it is very effective at There have been other gloves I have tried before that all had different quirks, but I think this one is my favorite.
