This is the one to get if you're a numbskull like me. Many of the others I looked at on YouTube appeared to be much more difficult to figure out how to use, but this one (at least for me) seemed to be more self-explanatory. br>br>I had never used a tent tensioner before, so this was unfamiliar territory for me. It was fairly simple to use them for the first time when I went camping (just watch a YouTube video on it first). br>br>They are simple to use, fit snugly, and perform as expected.
This is how I used it with Zing- it 2. Two issues: the holes drilled in these rings frequently have burrs that catch in the line; I have the MSR guy lines that these rings are modeled after and I rigged them similarly to those. They held tight at first, but when there was a breeze, the guylines began to sag. I couldn't seem to get them to stay put. I ended up tossing the metal components and simply tying a taut-line around my neck. hitch on a line Normally, hitches have two loops on one side, but with slippery Zing-style Zing-style Zing-style Zing-style Zing-style Zing-style Zing- If you're going to use three, make sure you use three. It's very stable.
The holes in the tie downs were perfectly sized for paracord, which made tension adjustments a breeze. They are more visible because of their bright red color.
It's a quarter of the price of MSR, but it's much lighter and performs admirably.
With a thinner cord, it works perfectly.
ers. It's amazing how well these things work! They're easy to grab and adjust, and I'd buy them again if I needed them.
Simple to work with.
For the price, this is an excellent product.
