There are no straight lines between them. I can't see the bend in the bar because the photo is too small. You can compare them to the medium bar that came with the crampons. As with the medium bar, the long bar has a slight bend to it.

Those long linking bars are supposed to be longer if you ordered them. It might be worth checking the specifications for the bars if they are the same length as the standard linking bars that come with crampons. Regardless of whether you have the right ones or not, your next step should be to discern. I would like to see the long bars

This was not the case. At least one size or two smaller than advertised.
I was disappointed in the new linking bars that do not fit with Irvis crampons that have 10 points. Neither were acceptable, so they were returned.
In addition, the following applies. Fitted my old crampons but not my new ones. In addition, the linking bar must not be longer than 1 slot from its original length. It was a disappointment.
It was very helpful to have these link bars for going from size 11 to 13 boots (from light Generally, Petzl crampons are only suitable for sizes 11 and up.
Since I wear a size 13 in mountaineering boots, these Barrettes were the perfect replacements for the stock ones on my Petzl Lynx.
It was a good fit for my 45 year old body. I give you five spantiks.
