Selected User Reviews For PETZL Simba Child's Climbing Harness
To use our two ziplines, we ordered harnesses for our 6 year old and 8 year old daughters. With a full harness like this it can be challenging to get a fidgety child into it and have the straps stay straight, but that is just the way it is. Regardless of whether the kids are familiar with the harness, it is fairly simple. Our kids were able to get in and out with ease, and we were able to get them both fitted and out when they were finished. Like any climbing harness, it's imperative that the straps and buckles are properly adjusted for the wearer. It is a sturdy strap that can be tightened securely but release easily to allow it to be changed from one outfit to another Suitable for kids of any size. Our youngest had some wedgy issues and we had to accommodate her and so the youngest was delighted. The oldest one was more than happy from the get-go. The ride was comfortable for both of them. My husband and I would not hesitate to buy another harness if we need another one.
With our 5 year old boy, we purchased both the Petzl Simba Harness and a Black Diamond kids regular climbing harness, but ended up using Simba and sending back The Diamond harness since it was far too tight for him. There is a 220' zipline that comes out of his treehouse, so it is pretty high off the ground. With this, we don't have to worry about him falling from a seat or letting go of a handlebar. His comfort level with the harness is evident as he quickly climbs in and out of it. The fact that you can adjust it really quickly is great. It has been used with his friends that have come over. At first, I stood him up in it and lifted him up with the carabiner to make him aware of how it would feel, and he was immediately comfortable in Our overall experiences with this harness have been very positive. We are very satisfied with it, and we would certainly purchase.
A 5 year old child bought this for me. Although he is small for his age, this harness fits him perfectly as the smallest adjustments allow. Material and design are of high quality, and I am confident that he will be able to use it for years to come.
In our back yard, we just put in a zip line, but even small children were having a hard time riding This was the first item we ordered when we found This has been an excellent (figuratively speaking) tool for me. With safety measures in place, small children can now enjoy riding the zip line. A zip line ride of this sort is highly recommended for anyone who owns one.
With all of the kids we have in our family using this, it's simple to get on and easy to adjust from child to child. I have never heard them complain about comfort, and even the bigger kids like how secure they feel in this harness rather than the standard waist belt. The product has only been in our possession for about a year, but there have been no signs of deterioration.
Our backyard zip line that we installed at our creek a few weeks ago was much easier to handle with these. Our goal was to have two of them so the boys could move along a 100' line. Our boys were aged 4-8. There is a wide range of heights and weights in this 6 year-old group. The boys adapted to the pants easily and after only a few tries, they were able to get them adjusted so they wouldn't get cut in the crotch or the arm area. In addition to that, we used them this weekend working with older girls, weighing about 90 pounds, to get the job done. In general, I am happy with the quality of the product.
A really cool harness for kids. I bought this for my daughter, who is 4. She loves There's a good chance that my daughter has smaller legs than yours Although she is small, it easily adjusts to her legs and she has a blast climbing to keep her upright without ever fear of her flipping over.
For now, it does the job it's supposed to do and that is to keep my 7-year-old from falling down. She hates it and wishes she could fit into a normal harness. Padding around the legs would be a good idea.
