Questions & Answers

Can canyoneering be done with this?

As long as you don't feel the need for a chest harness, this is great for all types of climbing or rappelling.

What do you think about tree climbing with this?

If you're going to climb trees, it would be good to use a climbing rope I use mine to get up masts of sail boats.

Is this comfortable for someone who weighs three pounds Do you like to sit and move little for 4 hours? We are interested in using this setup for hunting. ?

The belt I possess is something I love, but if I had to sit in front of that many people for so many hours, I would not find it Obviously, I must also point out, with all due respect and bluntness, that body mass plays a part in the matter. With my height and weight being 5'10" and 150 pounds, the maximum amount of time I could sit on this harness would be 1 to 2 hours without moving or stretching. However, if I stood every few minutes and stretched, I could sit for many hours without wearing this harness.

As far as I know, I've never used it for When I use it for a zip line, I need no more than a minute or two. When you are standing again, your feet are on fire

I can't stop myself from using it! We are talking about a heavy duty harness here
5/5

The alpine set up is NOT for use in the gym. There are several Petzels I use for the gym (Corax being one of them) and they are great for this Despite the fact that the straps are so wide, this item is very well padded. I am very pleased with this item. This harness offers extra length compared to other harnesses so it is much more comfortable when you hang for an extended period of time. It also has an additional belay loop which is a wonderful feature. This setup allows me to connect my rappel rig from one to my auto block from the other and it works perfectly. In addition, the unit has a lot of storage space for all your stuff. The extra money spent on this item was well worth it. The only thing that I wish it had was more colors, like other reviewers have stated.

The price is great
4/5

Be sure to read the reviews before choosing a size! I bought this harness primarily for recreational purposes as well as a few tree climbing projects at home and the occasional tree climbing job for friends or relatives. As somebody who plans to cut trees for a living, I would have invested in a harness that would be easier to put on / take off if I planned to work full time cutting trees. The pro's are When worn, and also when hung/suspended from a rope, the gloves are comfortable. A wide range of motion was achieved. The following cons The snap rule doesn't apply There are buckles or quick release buckles Since the connection takes a while to establish, it might take a little while to come and go. STARVE YOURSELF! DON'T MAKE UP YOUR MIND FROM THE SIZE My original plan was to buy the 36), but after reading the reviews I decided on a That was the best decision I ever made! Despite the instructions, in the Large harness I had to cinch it up pretty tight to get the 9 centimeters (3 inches) of strap outside the buckle that is required. I have thick quads/hams, so I adjusted the leg loops out as much as I could. Neither the extra nor the loops were enough to tuck into the loops in order to keep everything neat and tidy. In my opinion, if the manufacturer made the adjusters 1 inch wide or 1 inch long it would be best. The length would be perfect if it were five inches longer.

There are many aspects to this harness that make it great
4/5

While there are many aspects to this harness that make it great, the sizes are greatly reduced from the ones specified. When I first bought M, the label said it was for 30 years old It was a tight fit for me, since I'm 32'', and the loop always ended off to the side rather than in the middle. The small one ended up being sold and I ended up purchasing the larger one instead. In other words, if you are 32 or 33, don't go for the M size, go for the L size.

What words would you use to describe comfort? I am struck by these first impressions I guess everyone should know that it is as big as its name suggests, and as you can see in the picture
5/5

Still, it's not as heavy as it seems. When you're trying to reduce your weight, you may be a minimalist. In response to the above question, if you have gear off, it may turn you off, but for those going to be hanging for a long time, the extra comfort this offers may be worth the few additional ounces. The pro's are There are a few things this harness has going for it, but the number one advantage is its comfort. The large pad for your back and the wide leg straps make this My position as a search and rescuer makes comfort an important consideration because long training hangs are involved. This harness has not only a comfortable fit, but it has two fully-strengthened belay loops and a full strength haul loop. You can hang all your gear on the wall as well. The following cons It's slightly more expensive than your normal harness, but if you are lucky enough to find one on sale, it's worth it. It should be possible to find for $90 if you spend a little time looking. The weight is also an issue, but if you're bringing rescue gear or just a lot of nuts and bolts, then you probably won't notice. The weight issue is not the issue, we are only talking about a few ounces here They probably won't even notice for the most part. It is a great harness for anyone who likes comfort and a full feature belay harness.

I would rate it as excellent except for the wait adjustment, which I found to be a little wonky
4/5

As far as material is concerned, this is an excellent product. I find the waistband to only have one adjustment strap to be a handicap, since it makes it difficult to have a custom You might get a harness like that with a Petzl.

It is an excellent harness
5/5

As my second rock climbing harness, I spent a lot of time sport climbing and I needed something greater for trad climbing on multi-pitch With this harness, you can work all the draws and cams you want, and it is sturdy to hold weight. A very comfortable boot, nice to have extra padding for your legs when you're climbing for hours.

There is no better harness than this
5/5

It's great to have this harness. While I admit that it's a bit overkill for my indoor sport climbing needs, Besides being comfortable, this device is built with a lot of strength. Wearing it all day is comfortable for me, and I get a lot of compliments. A double belay loop and two rows of equipment hooks are available.
