This is not a serious matter
I'm using an old piece of copper wire that has been bent into heftier splints and a ruler to measure the thickness of the metal (I do not have calipers). It would be reasonable to estimate that the gray splint has a diameter of 14mm.

A friend of mine lent me one, so I'm confident that this will work. In response, I bought my own after carefully measuring the pole with the advice of a prior Even so, I was unable to fit the 13mm over my 3/8" poles as I measured the diameter of the broken fiberglass rather than the metal tubing that holds each segment The metal splint needs to cover those metal tubes. It was my fault. Measuring the metal tubes is better than measuring the fiberglass ones. Try not to make the same mistakes I made!.
Extras are a good idea! As a result of the pole breaking off at its joint, this splint fit easily into place and locked the pole in place easily. This is an extremely rigid person. You won't have to worry about buckling while using it. You should always have some spares of these items on any camping trip you take.
Easily fix the problem for a low cost!.
With my Hubba NX tent, one pole can bend or break, resulting in a bad bivy bag if the tent is bent or broken. I ordered this split to use with that tent. RS medical's splint, which is a single aluminum tube with an attractive silk screened logo, is made of aluminum. Despite owning many MSR products, I'm not fond of their accessories. I have many of their tents, water filters, and stoves but their add-on support parts are too.
The light weight and well-made construction make them desirable. A friend of mine used one and I really liked how durable it was!.
Without it, we can't take off. I haven't had any need for it so far.
I was glad to have this splint with me when I went on a three day backpacking trip in Utah's High Uintas, even though I was not in need of it. A lot can be gained from peace of mind, especially since this is lightweight and takes up very little space in your bag. Just in case you need to use duct tape, be sure to take some!.
The splint appears to be light, yet is exceptionally strong. I am adding a splint to the package for my LL Bean Microlight, as it did not come with one.
