Questions & Answers
The Core footprints are made of 115 gsm PVC, which is extremely durable. A new tarp can also be purchased at your local hardware store. However, to prevent water from getting in between the tarp and the tent, we recommend tucking the extra material under the tent.

Although this fits under the core 9 person tent, it is a simple rectangular shape, whereas the tent is not. As a result, the footprint's exposed areas protrude. This is inconvenient because if it rains, the rain will collect between the tent floor and the footprint, resulting in water in the tent. Overall, it was a good buy because a regular tarp would have been more expensive and even larger; just remember to tuck the excess under the tent if it's raining.
It's obvious that this is a simple game to play. It's not too heavy. But my favorite feature is that it made cleaning up the tent much easier. I simply lifted the edges to allow the dirt to fall into the center, then swept it up. Wear and tear from the bottom of my tent were definitely kept at bay. Thankfully, because I had just spent a lot of money on a tent.
I'm not sure how this is any better than putting a regular tarp under the tent for a third of the price; I don't see the benefit. It would have been even better if it came with a bag.
One could cut sheet plastic to size, as I have done in the past, but this footprint appears to be substantial, and it stays in place thanks to tie down loops. It's a little pricey, but it'll pay off in the end.

I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it. It had the potential to be a half-foot longer and wider.
