Questions & Answers

When cell service is unavailable, how does the QR code work?

That is an excellent query. The QR codes direct you to training resources that you can use both before and after the grid goes down - You won't be able to access them if you lose cell service, but that's not a problem because the Guide is there for that. I hope this has been of assistance.

What is the name of the font, and how small is the font size, for example? 9-inch tall, very small small (10 people) fair? Is it necessary to hold it almost to your nose in order to read it comfortably?

I'm not sure what font it is. The print is, however, extremely small! Perhaps a six. br>A magnifying glass is included in the Guide, but it's still difficult for my 73-year-old mother to read. year- Even with my glasses, I can read comfortably with my old eyes. br>A design that measures 3x5" would be far more practical.

Is this small enough to fit in an Altoids tin?

Yes. The Tiny Guide and Tiny Card are both designed to fit in a Standard Sized Altoids tin, leaving plenty of room for you to add your own EDC kit items. More micro EDC gear, hacks, and tips can be found here. Check out the "Tiny Survival" website, which has a wealth of free resources and advice. I hope this information is useful!

What is the location of the printing? China?

That is an excellent query. Tiny Survival Guide is a book published in the United States of America. because our printer is set up for the unique manufacturing process we employ and has access to the specialty European papers we use. I hope this information is useful.

If this is your only source of survival information, you'll need more in order to be fully prepared
3/5

As you can see, this is ONE page (printed on both sides) folded up to be pocket size. br>The authors did the best they could with the space they had, but many important things had to be compressed to the point where a person with no or little survival knowledge will not have enough basic information in several areas that are "covered" but not well enough to be useful. (Keep in mind that it's only 1 folded page. ) br>The additional information that you can scan is "useful," but the video or information in some of the apps isn't always as complete or well-produced as it could be, and it may not be available when you need it. br>It's critical to be prepared in case of an emergency. It's excellent that you're seeking information in order to truly Be Prepared. Please purchase and read one or two full-length survival books (Cody Lundin is excellent) before purchasing the necessary equipment for your home and vehicle. Is it better to have one page than none at all? Sure . Unless buying this makes you "think" you're prepared, which you won't be, you should buy one or two full and well-written survival books instead.

Is it really worth it to pay for information that can be found for free? The product is well-informed and water and tear resistant; it is not waterproof, but it is durable
3/5

I was able to make a hole in it by unfolding it too quickly, but the water resistance is adequate. The fact that all of this information is freely available on the internet is my main concern. As a result, I don't think ten dollars is worth it.

This is a rip-off - don't fall for it
3/5

Get a real survival guide; this is probably one of the dumbest Amazon purchases I've ever made. The concept of a "pocket-sized" device appealed to me. The premise is great, but one of the first things it says is that you should carry things with you rather than rely on electronics, and the entire guide is full of QR Codes for you to use your phone to get more information on the subjects, which obviously would be of little to no use if there was an actual crisis. They even direct you to YouTube videos, which is even dumber. br>br>There are a couple of things worth looking at in this section - The visual diagrams on how to set traps, gut a fish, and tell what different tracks are are mostly useful, but they could all be read about in a real book with a much better picture and description. The details are so minor that you can't really understand what's going on, and everything is so straightforward that you could just as easily recall the information from a regular book - It's essentially a synopsis. br>br>One thing I read, which is why I decided to write this review (my first ever), is that in the "Worst Case Scenario" section at the end, it says that one of the essentials to check off in your Home Emergency Kit, after a gas mask, is a Bible. I'm not sure if that was meant to be funny or not. I understand that some people are religious, but if this is a serious inclusion, the fact that they thought this was so important for your "at home kit" during an apocalypse that it had to be crammed into a manual small enough to fit in your pocket is absurd. I'm not anti-religion, but this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. br>br>Saving $10 is not a good idea. Buy a real survival guide; the only reason I gave it any stars is because it does some of what it says it will; there are a few survival tips in here, but nothing you wouldn't find in ANY basic survival guide.

This teeny-tiny book is jam-packed with useful information
5/5

This guide is fantastic; I can't believe how much information is contained in such a small package. It's far superior to the majority of my full-sized survival manuals! I frequently give survival kits as gifts to family members, and this guide will now be included in each one. I find something new every time I look at it. The QR codes link to videos where the authors go over the skills in greater detail. The cost is astronomically high. My set even came with a magnifying lens that I can use as a fire starter if I want to. The funny thing is that this guide quickly replaced the $10 I had spent on it in my wallet.

What's that, there's no metal punch- What's the status of our tool card? I'm sure I'm not the first person who was disappointed to receive only the booklet and not the metal tool card
3/5

br>br>Read the description carefully and decide whether you want to pay $10 for the pamphlet, $20 for the tools, or purchase a package. Should I have taken it slower and read the description more thoroughly? br>br>Should I have taken it slower and read the description more carefully? Yes. Should I have compared this listing to others in the same company's product line? Without a doubt. Could this listing, on the other hand, make it clear in its description that it is a booklet-only listing? only, as well as instrument- Is there a set that's missing? Yes, that would be a nice and up-to-date idea. advertising from the front.

But, while it's nice, I like it a lot, but it should cost no more than $3 or $4; the information is good, but
4/5

It's insane to pay nearly ten dollars for a piece of "paper" and a magnifying plastic. br>I almost didn't buy it because of the exorbitant price, despite the fact that it had been on my wish list for a month. br>If they lower the price, they might be able to sell a lot more. br>The product is good, but the price is outrageous.

It's incredible! It is, without a doubt, the best EDC item to keep in your pocket or kit
5/5

br>You'll be surprised at how much information this pocket guide contains. br>QR Codes are fantastic! This is a training tool as well as a guide. This pocket guide becomes an encyclopedia of proven knowledge thanks to the QR code, which directs you to training and education resources.
