It is clear how to follow the directions You can wear this by wetting it in cold water, shaking it, and wringing it out. Despite living in Arizona with summer temperatures that can range between 105 and 115 degrees, I find the towel keeps me cool for quite a while after using it. My neck is wrapped in mind and the ends of it are used to clean my face. Everytime I want the towel to be cooler, I just pour some water from my water bottle on it and it comes back to life.
