There is a lot of importance placed on the size. The Motorola bank charger is the smallest one I've seen and it has a single plug, which makes it ideal. This unit has no wall wart. The power socket is a standard two-prong lamp cord type, and the voltage is 110 volts AC down to whatever DC voltage it requires to power the radio. The charger can be put in a case together with a bunch of radios and accessories, making it convenient to travel lighter. It does have a drawback in that the radios are loose in the slots. You have to move or pull one out of the slot and reseat it to get the contacts to stay After you place a radio in the slot, it is sometimes accompanied by a green light telling you that it is charging. Re-seat it or jiggle it in the slot for the light to change to red and show that the charge is proceeding. However, the build quality of this Motorola charger isn't quite what it once was but then again, the radio it is made for is one of their cheaper models now!.
I am not satisfied with this charger at all. This radio charger was part of a purchase of 4 radios. Upon dropping in the radio via the charger, I noticed the light would go from red to green either instantly or within a few minutes (green means it is charging, and red means it has been charged). My radios would randomly shut off during the day, so I didn't pay much attention to it except that it seemed a little odd. The radios were sent back to me assuming they were not working as they should, so I got a free set of replacements. However, the problem continued to persist, so I ruled out the radios as well. When I used the small chargers that came with the radios, they worked fine without any problems and all day long. Therefore, by adding 2 + 2 and looking at the lights on the RLN6309, I figured the charger itself was at fault. A replacement charger was sent to me after I returned the charger to Amazon. Second unit came to me, and it was even worse than the first. There have never been any red lights for me. As a result, it does not charge the radios at all, and the new unit is even worse than the bad one I was given initially. There is a real poor quality on Motorola's part here. There has always been an expectation from Motorola that its products will last, and this does not live up to that standard. In the end it was an awful product without quality control and true unit testing due to their lack of quality control. My wishes are that I could get a refund on this, but, unfortunately, I don't have the means to do so. PROS of (
) * Clone works as advertised but has a few drawbacks You can't get your radio to work with this. It doesn't charge and is completely useless. This product should be avoided The caveat emptor rule applies!.
This is a very good article.
I received the order at the estimated time and it was as advertised.
is good, but not great in that sometimes you have to wiggle the radio to find out if it's charging. Although this occurs once per week, it isn't that big of a In comparison to an individual charger, this product saves me a ton of space I think this is worth it!.
The promised outcome has been delivered.
