The carrying case for the TAC9ER Multitool Shovel differs from that of the TAC9ER E-Tool Shovel. The hard carrying case for the tool has a detachable hook on the pack. Biners can, however, be used to secure it to molle webbing.

My husband was using it as a light ax to cut down a very small tree in the yard, and the handle bent, so I had to return it. The flint was shattered as well. He felt bad about breaking the gift on the first day because it was an anniversary present. I felt bad for giving him a gift that was so easily broken.
Some of the gadgets might be useful, but the compass is a joke; mine is off by more than 20 degrees. and one of the screwdriver bits is either welded in with paint or jammed in so tightly. I think the screwdriver bits should be a little bigger; I'm not sure they'd work on anything bigger than my glasses. Overall, it's small and compact, and if you're in a pinch, it'll probably suffice. All of the extra features inside the handle don't impress me.
It's a great tool to have in the woods because of its size and price.
This device has a substantial weight to it. The tubing is made of aircraft-grade aluminum. This is grade aluminum, and it is used to reduce weight. Those who managed to bend the handle were probably not using it for what it was intended to be: an emergency shovel. Yes, you will most likely bend the hatchet head if you swing it at a tree with the handle fully extended. That's not what it was designed for. It's also not designed for digging a foxhole in ice. Compass, screwdrivers, harpoon, emergency hammer, and serrated blade are among the items included. If you don't mind lugging around an extra three pounds, go ahead. If you want to lose 5 pounds, look for an all-in-one solution. Model made of steel. It does exactly what I want it to do.
This TAC9ER Survival Shovel is designed to help you survive in the wilderness. 15- 1 Camping Shovel with Carrying Pouch, made in China, came with a broken compass built into one of the shovel handles when it was first delivered. I exchanged the original item for a new one. After that, I received a replacement product, and the compass was once again damaged. br>br>This is not a long-lasting product. Even after using the hand screw to secure the shovel head, it is wobbly. Putting together the 4-piece set was also a challenge. It's not an easy task to combine two pieces of handle into one long handle. The connecting screws are misaligned and require additional effort to install. This is a product that I do not recommend.
So you're not going to chop down a redwood, but I can see how this could come in handy for a variety of things. Read the instructions; there's more than you think. I discovered it near the end of looking at everything; it's a small package that's more than useful and doesn't take up much space! I'll say this and hope the makers see it: the plastic insert for the harpoon is stupid; make it out of the same aluminum with a lip edged so you can loosen and tighten it properly; also, the window breaker could have a lip edged as well; one more thing is a little more on the threads will make it more ridged; other than that, I'd buy a bunch of these to give away because they're so versatile.
I was looking for a small shovel to keep in my emergency kit, and this one fit the bill perfectly. You can make it as short as a few inches or as long as 2 feet long. The little extras are nice, but I'm not sure I'll use them, but they're there if I need them. This is a well-made, high-quality item that doesn't feel flimsy at all; in fact, it felt more sturdy than I expected, and it dug into the ground with ease in what I'll call normal configuration, with the blade at 90 degrees. You can't go wrong with this shovel if you need a small shovel to keep in your backpack or vehicle.
I use it for hunting and camping.
