Questions & Answers
The Owlet hammock is 6 feet long by 3 1/2 feet wide, so there will be a foot of sag and the width should work because it is 5 feet wide.
Infants should not use any hammocks, including those sold for babies. They have an excessively steep incline, causing the baby's chin to tuck down too far, potentially blocking the airway, similar to why the rock a tots were recalled due to infant death.
Thank you for your interest in our Owlets Kid Hammocks by Wise Owl Outfitters. Our Owlet hammock is 6 feet long, 3 1/2 feet wide, and weighs only 13 ounces. It also folds down to about the size of an orange, saving you a lot of space. I hope this information is useful.

We bought one of these to hang inside our kids' metal climbing dome for Christmas, and they love it. We decided to buy two more (one for each kid) because this isn't a full-length hammock and they'll all fit under the dome. The hammock is easy to set up, the kids can do it themselves, and all three of them can fit inside while sitting. My husband (5' 11") has even climbed into it and commented on how comfortable it is.
This hammock was purchased for our three-year-old son, who suffers from s. (sensory processing disorder) and it's been a lifesaver; he's never slept so well, and he loves it. I've even recommended it to other parents with children who have sensory issues; we're very satisfied customers.
These turned out to be a fantastic investment. We've got two of them hung beneath our 54-inch climber that we've had for a long time. The children are six years old. 5 and 3. The fit is perfect, and it's holding up well in everyday use. I 100% would recommend these and plan to purchase an adult sized hammock from this firm.
I only managed to get a couple of inches under her loft bed. We, on the other hand, find it useful. br>br>The speed of delivery was excellent! We expected to receive it on Tuesday, but it arrived on Monday instead. It was a lifesaver for Witch. Every 5 minutes, my daughter would inquire as to when it would arrive. Thank you so much! br>br>.
" I tried to get a picture of the two of us relaxing in our hammocks, but all I got was this because she likes to play "cocoon" and wrap herself up inside to hide! Haha Setup was simple with the included straps, and all of the components appear to be well made. Things I adore include: br>br>
- br>- Excellent value for money!br>- Actual STRAPS were included, not ROPE as seen in some of the photos. br>- The customer service is fantastic! Even though I emailed at 9 p. m. , I received a response within an hour, and they were extremely helpful and accommodating, even sending me a handwritten note!
- I love that I can support a smaller, US-based business without having to pay a significantly higher price!br>br>2 things to keep in mind:
- The carabiners are quite heavy (over 2 oz each, according to my scale), but then again, I'm comparing them to the 3/4 oz ones that came with my Featherlite. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind. (If you want to upgrade, they sell the featherlite carabiners separately in a variety of colors. )br>- There are only five loops on the straps. Again, this isn't a bad thing because it keeps the weight down; however, if you're like me and are used to straps with a lot more loops, this is something to keep in mind. It was still a breeze to set up; I just had to think about the trees I used a little more. br>br>I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'll definitely be giving some as Christmas gifts!.
Before this, we tried a different type of kid's hammock. We use this hammock to hang beneath our son's loft bed, and it's great. Before this one, we tried another kids hammock, but the material was not as wide (from side to side when laying down), and our son kept falling out. Our son really enjoys this one from Wise Owl because it has a lot of material.
This was purchased specifically for my class, which has an 8-foot wide motorhome, and two climbing anchors were purchased for $3 at a local climbing store. 75 each. I removed the seatbelt bolts and replaced them with anchors, then reinstalled them. BAM! For a little more than $20, you can get another kid's bed. It was a great success! Of course, it's best if the front two seats are swiveled at least to the side; also, do so at your own risk; I can't say whether or not fiddling with the seat belt bolts is safe; use your best judgment. Mine had plenty of threads to keep them in place, and I'm confident that the belts' safety is not jeopardized.
My toddler doesn't get swallowed up in the larger sizes, so this is the perfect size for her. She really enjoys swinging on it! Our outdoor hammock is very simple to set up and take down, taking only a few seconds. Wise Owl, as usual, produces excellent work. The colors are fantastic and the products are of high quality (which is crucial when you have children).
