This hammie was purchased in September and I carry it with me everywhere! I'm a big camper and festival goer, so it sees a lot of action! It's incredibly simple to erect and dismantle, as well as extremely long-lasting. It's large enough for two people to sleep comfortably together over night. I recently discovered a couple of self-inflicted holes in my hammie, and it ripped completely today. I was on the phone with bear butt in 10 minutes and had another one sent to me for FREE! Did I mention that the entire customer service conversation took place via text message? I've never had a conversation so simple. I simply sent a photo of my torn hammy, and the REAL PEOPLE on the other end brightened my day! Thank you so much, guys! From now on, I'll only recommend and buy bear butt hammies! For about a month, it worked perfectly, but then it started to fall apart. The hammock's straps broke while my husband and 8-month-old baby were laying on it (husband weighs about 155 pounds), but they were unharmed. When I contacted Bear Butt, they informed me that the upgraded straps were required! Really? It might break right away if you don't upgrade? Simply raise the price and sell a hammock that won't break if you don't upgrade it! Anyway, they didn't want to reimburse me for the hammock, so they sent me free straps instead. They were supposed to send two pairs because I purchased two hammocks (one of which was a gift), but the second pair never arrived, and my friends' straps were never delivered. However, my hammock's material tore at the top about a year later, and it's almost completely torn off now. I'm going to have to take a picture of it. Needless to say, I'd choose a different brand; I liked the style and wanted to support their business, but the hammock and customer service were both disappointing.

No joke. Let me start by saying that their customer service is fantastic, and they respond quickly to questions; I was new to hammocks, and they assisted me in finding a stand for my new bearbutt. br>br>Now, I got the hammock super quickly, and let me tell you, it's heaven. Comfortable to the point of insanity. So much so that I had to move my old, worn-out bed into the guest room and bring the hammock into my room. br>br>Now I sleep like a baby, and my back problems are no longer a problem. There are no pressure points, the position is comfortable, the material is very soft, and it does not "cocoon" you like some hammocks do.

We bought a bear butt hammock for everyone in our family after using one for ourselves! If you use their kodiak straps, it's a breeze to set up. When we backpack, we use it as our tent because it has a bug net and a rain fly. I enjoy hanging and never wake up with a sore back like I would if I slept in a tent on the ground. br>We discovered that counting 13 feet one in front of the other in between hangs is the key to achieving the perfect/comfortable hang. Any trees that are further apart are too far apart and will cause the sides to be too tight and uncomfortable. Not only do our kids love it, but my 64-year-old mother climbed in with me to see what all the fuss was about and we had to buy her one as well. We highly recommend this brand; they claim to stand behind their products and will refund or replace them if necessary, but we've never had to do so.

The hammock is nice in and of itself, but the rope that comes with it is garbage. With my 70-pound daughter in it, the rope snapped when it was hung up. The mental clasp was slingshotted into her skull. She needed to be checked out at the ER, so I had to drive her there. Wrope should be replaced.

I needed a new hammock so that I could take my son on more camping trips. I was looking for an ENO hammock, but I had to go on a camping trip with my son's scout troop before I could make my purchase. I noticed one of the other scout leaders was using a new hammock and inquired about it; I had never heard of the Bear Butt brand before, so I bought two based on what he said and the apparent quality of the hammock. One is for me, and the other is for my son. br> We just got back from a camping trip to Hanging Rock State Park, where we got to try out our new hammocks. It was time to put up camp after a long day of hiking. It took us about ten minutes to set up both hammocks and get them ready to relax in, including unpacking our new Kodiak Straps. These hammocks have nothing but positive reviews from me. The craftsmanship that went into making these hammocks is of the highest caliber. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the hammock, which I would expect in a hammock costing twice as much. I'm not a small man; I'm 5'11" and weigh 215 pounds, so there was plenty of room for me to stretch out. If you're looking for a hammock, the Bear Butt is a great choice. br>br>I'd like to point out that I received no discount or compensation for my review. I'm just happy that a company is selling a high-quality product with excellent customer service, and I wanted to express my gratitude.

This is my first hammock, which I purchased a few months ago. Well, I finally got to try it out during a four-day camping trip in the woods, and the hammock is incredibly sturdy. I'm a big guy who weighs 290 pounds, and it easily held me. It was also a hit with my son, who tried it and raved about it. I recommend purchasing the Kodiak hammock straps from them. I just placed an order for them for our upcoming trip. The hammock's ropes are about 3/8" thick. They cut into the bark even when double looping around the trees. They also have a lot of stretch. It was necessary for me to re-write At least four times, tie the knot to reduce the length. Every time my butt touched the ground, I had to get up and re-position myself. tie. The rope becomes so tangled that it sounds like a bass guitar string and is extremely difficult to untangle. To undo it, I needed pliers. Next time, I'll wear my Kodiak straps and use my head. The hammock appears to be well constructed and is certainly large enough for two people, but it also works well for one person. I'm sure it could support someone much heavier, perhaps 500 pounds. The BearButt hammock comes with a handy stuff sack and is simple to set up. It's incredibly compact, and it'd fit nicely in a daypack or backpack. With the quality and lifetime guarantee, I can see why there are so many 5-star reviews!.
