It just took brute force to get it together. I have never taken it apart. I thought the same thing when I first assembled it, and it was difficult to assemble and I don't think I'll ever take it apart. arranged the pieces as they should go together, and the pieces went together fairly easily until I got to the last few pieces. The hardest part was getting the pieces to slide together easily. I had to move one part of each join in a direction to make it match and fit together The process took a considerable amount of time and made my hands, wrists, and arms sore, but I was able to fit all the pieces together so the little push buttons on the pieces locked in place once I got them lined up. The chair feels comfortable to sit in as well, which is why I won't take it apart. Even though it is a sturdy, comfortable chair for the type, I won't continue to use it... due to the tension issue. I am not sure if the problem is from poor design or poor production, but I also know I will not buy another one. By the way, I have tendonitis over 60, so I had to take ibuprofen after putting this together. In addition to taking three times as long to put it together as expected.
Since I am 5'3 and the top of my head extends over the back, I would say no. After an hour or so, it would no longer be comfortable for gaming. Lazing around a bit is the main purpose.

I had no problem assembling it. I was surprised how nice it was While I might not mind the look of folding frames, I didn't want to spend $400 on copycats with solid welded frames, because I don't like the look of brand-name reproductions. There is no messing around with folding nonsense with these frames they look great and feel great. It's easy to ship because they clip together. The covers are made from thick canvas and are heathered. Very nice. I didn't expect the quality to be so high. Though I do not know how long they'll last outside, you'll be able to buy replacement covers.

What a pain in the @ss to set up
