Had high hopes, then was I found this interesting and thought it would be helpful to get a sense of what is left in open bottles (used) so I can plan better and not have to carry extra when it won't When I started out, all I had were full 1lb bottles, and they did measure In a recent trip, I emptied one of the bottles (totally empty and had to swap it after the trip) and when I returned I decided to measure the amount

The amount measured was about 1/2 full for a bottle that was nearly There is an issue when it says 50% when there should be zero and it says 25% when it should be 50%, 50% when it should be 75%, or 100% when it should be 100%.

This little scale is useful

Here is just a small hang scale with a custom clip so that you can attach it to green propane canisters. Even though it's not anything special, it's good enough to work, packs well, and for the price will save you some money and time if you're filling.

There is no better way to get a fairly accurate indication of the amount of fuel left in a container at such an affordable price. You should take care of the device, as it isn't a strong one.
